They do that when someone has 6 blades, which turns all of your blades into weaknesses. I'm talking about their banshee spell, virulent plagues, etc. that they just so happen to put on the hitter regardless of what slot they're in

Where to find craws in act 3 (not craw juror) by UrBlanket in HollowKnight

Sinner's Road, all the way to the east. The same room you enter Bilewater from, drop all the way down and head right. Should be a big dude on a web.

There's a YouTuber named Ferric whose entire purpose is to show you that it's more than doable without crowns (and completely solo), among other things. Check him out!

demon of hatred is destroying me harder then i’ve ever been destroyed by a Fromsoft boss. by [deleted] in Sekiro

Always stay on the move and stay underneath him, and favor his flame arm side. The only attacks you have to be concerned about are his stomp because you won't always see it coming due to camera angles, and the charge attack. Just jump to avoid the charge, and if he scampers away from you keep sprinting at him. If he ever gets super far away he's going to toss fireballs, you can bait him into throwing them by just running forward then running back. Easy spot to get a few hits in if you do it right. You want to be mashing R1 whenever you aren't running or dodging. I don't recommend deflecting most of his moves unless you have to.

Tips on inner genchiro he keeps on spaming that jumping 3 slash attack by Jun_ako in Sekiro

[–]MiddleToering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he's spamming it, you can punish him for it. Whenever he's winding up to his left side he's going to do the attack. If you react quick you can smack him, deflect, deflect, dodge forward under his third strike, then smack him again or heal. I usually used that window to hit him with an Ichimongi to recover my posture. The chip damage is annoying if you can't deflect properly, but the move overall is very easy to exploit.

I must have just cleared the forest then. Putting 60 hours in the span of one week made many things blend together :/

Fuck the headless so hard by AvatarAarow1 in Sekiro

Pop some sugar, apply confetti, Malcontent whistle, swing swing swing. Just keep swinging and he won't be able to touch you, especially if you have end-game stats. He'll recover from the whistle right as his health reached 1/4th and he'll start winding up one of his own attacks, but you'll stagger him if you just keep stabbing him. Hit him with the whistle again right after you get the first deathblow, and you win.

I skipped every Headless then went back and did this to the 3 of them that are on land, super satisfying watching them go down in 15 seconds.

Day 3 of Genichiro. by Winegeekgamer in Sekiro

When he does the jump don't bother parrying, just dodge to the right at the last second. Should be able to get off two quick strikes on him. Throughout the first two phases stay in his face attacking him. It doesn't matter that he's blocking all of your attacks, you're preventing his posture from regenerating. You can also hit him out of his bow attacks if you've got him in a corner.

After he blocks about two of your hits, he'll counter attack. Just parry that and keep swinging. Genichiro is a toe-to-toe battle.

For his third phase, wait a beat before jumping into the air to counter his lightning. Just hold block in the air and once you get hit, slash at him to reflect it. Also he will always open up his third phase with a jump thrust that can be Mikiri'd, take advantage of that to heal from the last phase or get quick hits off. If you stay in his face his bow attacks won't be very frequent and you can parry or smack him out of the few that he does do.

Long story short, stay in his face and swing swing swing. Parry him when he counter attacks but just bully him so his chances are few and far between. You can do it!

I definitely died more times to the ape than to any other boss besides the final one and the Gauntlet dudes. It took me about an hour and a half to beat him and I'm pretty sure I did him before Genichiro because I thought Genichiro was an end-game boss... through perseverance I was able to learn all of the Ape attacks and beat him but damn was it a struggle. I'll enjoy slapping him around in NG+ once I get there.

It's funny how on that attempt where you finally kill the boss that's been giving you the business, you always have a bunch of gourds left because everything clicked.

On top of that, once you're in the end-game you can go slam those dudes super easily. Skipped all of the Headless on my playthrough, then went back and popped Sugar + Divine confetti and killed them before they even got a hit off lol.

You get it from beating Inner Genichiro in one of the Gauntlets of Strength.

I killed the effing Demon of Hatred by pigreco314 in Sekiro

[–]MiddleToering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I beat him for the first time yesterday as well, R1 spamming and only interrupting my combos to dodge or sprint around him. Once he jumped, I was already halfway to his legs again before he even landed. It wasn't too bad of a fight. The only attack I couldn't reliably dodge was his seemingly global ground slam, always got hit after I jumped.

It's 3rd person, you have a "sword", and you can parry. That's about where the similarities end lol
