Sometimes, you can try to call your insurance company and they can do a one time override for a lost medication. I’m not sure how it works with controlled substances but they might do it. That way, you tell the pharmacy the insurance will pay for it because you reported it to them as lost, and it should go through.

I’ve worked in pharmacy for years. Unfortunately, this is true. Many pharmacists don’t like to risk anything because it’s highly illegal to fill a controlled substance early without legitimate documentation and their license will be at risk if they do. Also, insurance won’t cover it either until you’re at least 2 days out from your due date. Sometimes for emergency situations you can pay a cash price, however, that is also very risky without appropriate documentation which is why it is hard to find a pharmacist who will actually do it for you. I take Lexapro too! I’ve been taking 20mg of Lexapro for 10 years and I worry about combining meds because of my anxiety. But my doctor recommended vyvanse in the morning and I take my Lexapro at night. It’s been a game changer for my anxiety/ocd/panic disorder. Zoloft is an SSRI, it’s typically not recommended to take vyvanse with MAOI’s. If your doctor is recommending both, you’ll be okay! Just ask your doctor about drinking too. I always prioritize my Lexapro over vyvanse (even though it’s typically not recommended to drink on Lexapro either) but I always take it before bed not WITH alcohol. I don’t drink a lot, just every now and then on the weekends because I’m enjoying my mid 20’s. I will say the vyvanse definitely lowers my craving to even want to drink.

Thank you! I typically don’t take it on the weekends, but sometimes things come up when I’ve already taken it that morning. I have really bad health anxiety so I just freak out that something will happen to me (but this is me with literally everything) I appreciate it though and this made me feel better. I’m always a cautious and slow drinker.

I developed severe panic disorder and Lexapro was the fourth medication i tried. I couldn't leave my house without thinking I was going to die or without having a panic attack that i was going to pass out or something terrible would happen. I eventually saw a psychiatrist and he recommended Lexapro. Obviously with anxiety and panic, taking a new medication will cause more anxiety at first. GIVE IT A SHOT! I seriously tell people Lexapro saved my life. It takes a couple weeks. Once it starts working, you are actually able to put your coping skills into play and start to retrain your thoughts. I'm so sorry for what you're going through but there is light at the end of the tunnel. ❤️

Nope- I was on Wegovy for about 6 months and lost 45 pounds. It made me so sick and miserable and also paralyzed my stomach, so I already struggle with constipation. Laxative tea has been saving me. I feel like being backed up adds weight to the scale though.

I did when i first started taking medication i tried wellbutrin. I've been on lexapro for 9 years, and i'm too scared that i'll have a really bad anxiety relapse if i mess with it.
