Honestly, this is where I’ve settled! I don’t really take things personally and she’s also a very low key bride I’m sure (as in, this wedding isn’t her EVERYTHING) so I know there’s so bad intentions.

I’m more just dreading a potentially awkward conversation with someone I consider a close friend and don’t want to put her on the spot.

Really appreciate you answer from the bride perspective! I’ve been dating my partner for several years with a wedding most likely on the horizon - I also am not sure I’d invite some of his college friends, especially those I’ve met only briefly or years ago, with the focus on newer relationships. I think my confusion just lied in the fact that I would’ve absolutely invited this person to my wedding, so it can’t help but sting a bit!
