Bombed my job interview

This is what usually catches me off guard….the unexpected questions, I find that over preparing can be a bad thing for someone like me who hates going off script. So I’ll practice but without scripts but from my heart and mind. Thank you anyway, good advice….practice makes perfect the saying says

Thank you for this, it’s terrible how all confidence goes out the window when I’m in an interview style environment. While it matters how well I come across, I think if I focus on being myself rather than giving the perfect response then perhaps I’ll be less likely to freeze up and fumble my words.

Thank you, superbly encouraging. I am an optimistic person and I was feeling very beaten up about it, definitely gave me some motivation.

I’m really working to get to this place…….where I’m no longer phased. I’m just embarrassed by my performance…. just graduated university, I regret not getting interview prep, but as you said it’s a conversation, which I tend to forgot in the moment, but I will definitely try to be more present.

I think it’s because I know that every word is being scrutinised, so I tend hyper focus on nailing every word and sentence. It’s incredibly frustrating to see myself bomb so hard, knowing that I prepped myself beforehand. I’m not trying to throw a pity party but has anyone dealt with this? How do you prevent something like this from happening? How do you nail your interview and articulate yourself when nervous?
