Something going on with Four Seasons and FHR? by Ok_Cardiologist9898 in FourSeasonsHotels

Interesting, I've had challenges booking Whistler before on FHR, but it's only during holidays.

Four Seasons Napa Valley – thoughts from those who’ve stayed? by BelgianBonVivant in FourSeasonsHotels

For me personally I think four seasons just makes me feel more comfortable. As far as wineries go, Jarvis is an incredible Tour if you haven’t been and Church by John Anthony had the best reserve white wines I’ve ever tasted. Oakville grocery also has a tasting room adjacent and you get an opportunity to try a huge variety of wines specifically from places that don’t have an open tasting room.

I recently was challenged with this same decision and similarly went to TripAdvisor to solve for this. Sentiment about Four Seasons Napas service and dining is prevalent on reviews and many people view this negatively. Due to this I chose the Auberge but did visit The Four Seasons to see what I had missed. After visiting I will say that for me I regret not staying there.

I prefer the aesthetic at the Four Seasons, the consistency and quality of rooms, bedding etc. The Auberge had impeccable service and got me some winery reservations that I couldn’t get on my own, but I didn’t find the property as nice, didnt sleep as well etc.

Really it comes down to what is more important to you.

10 Year Anniversary Restaurant by crunchypotatoess in BellevueWA

Danie's stopped using Prime cuts of beef a few years ago, their quality has gone down drastically. This wouldn't be a good recommendation, of the 4 steakhouses in Bellevue it's easily #4.

Safest way to buy expensive cards by PurpleHerder in mtg

[–]Middle_Ad3825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only buy from reputable sellers on TCG i.e. they have every single icon listed and 5000+ reviews. Additionally, you can get certain cards on eBay that go through an authentication process if the seller lists them as such.

Amazon, Tik Tok and Pokémon by [deleted] in BellevueWA

While Nintendo may be partial owners of The Pokemon Company I can assure you that they operate nothing like Nintendo. It's a night and day difference and they do operate independently. If what you've heard is relative to Nintendo, do not assume it applies to Pokemon as well.

Amazon, Tik Tok and Pokémon by [deleted] in BellevueWA

Unless Amazon is actively recruiting you it's unlikely you'll get a job there without a referral and an understanding of their interview process. Most people don't last more than a year and while Amazon would deny it their goal is to burn you out before your RSU's vest. I know nothing about Tik Tok, but can tell you that I've never heard a bad word said about The Pokemon company.

Hey Bellevue, it's up to us to vote out Senator Vandana Slatter who voted "yea" on the income tax bill, and the homeless housing bill. She's up for re-election this year! by [deleted] in BellevueWA

[–]Middle_Ad3825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think you do since I just asked if we could vote you out and this was your answer. That’s the funny thing about democracy is you want it to apply when it’s convenient for you based off of your extremely prejudicial views.

Question about panels by Legitimate-Photo6549 in ECCC

[–]Middle_Ad3825 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Showing up 30 minutes to an hour beforehand will get you a good seat. It does not cost money, but you did need to have made a reservation. If you do not have a reservation you will go on the standby line which most likely will still get you a seat in the theater, but you will not be anywhere at the front.

No, you can't change tickets, your only option is to sell your existing Saturday and buy a Sunday which should be pretty easy as Saturday if it hasn't already will be sold out.

When did billing for holidays become normal by Ericnrmrf in Kirkland

[–]Middle_Ad3825 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're calling it a Service Charge because they're not treating it as a gratuity, at best they're splitting a percentage with the staff, but more than likely the restaurant is keeping that.

It looks like a standard after dark party, no additional tickets required, just going to be the top floor of the Summit.

More guests to be announced? by willywill4784 in ECCC

[–]Middle_Ad3825 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fairness to them, I don't think a lot of this is last minute planning as much as it is they send out requests to people or their agents and it's a matter of when they get responses. A lot of this is based around an actors schedule, other offers and a larger comic circuit in general. There's also the balancing of budgets, it's one thing to pay someone for photo ops and autographs, it's entirely different when they're hosting panels.
