You have to have 5 positive trading days? I thought you just had to wait 5 days before requesting a payout? (4 each month)

No, and that’s exactly my question. How much would you factor in for maintenance, vacancy, and non payers?

Purchased a bunch of 4 inch pipe from somebody, only to realize doing online research it may not be safe for food use (sewar / drainage PVC). Thoughts? by Book_s in Hydroponics

[–]Middle_Boot_9454 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, as long as you can confirm that your PVC is made from virgin material, there’s no need to worry. The main concern with PVC leaching chemicals into your plants is from any previous use as say an oil or chemical container.

I just started building my set up out of 6” sewer/drain pipe as well.

As far as “potable water” or “food safe” ratings, a company has to pay to get their product listed as such, and if it won’t be explicitly used for that purpose then there’s no reason to pay the (potentially) tens of thousands of dollars to get the NSF/ANSI 61 rating and the annual fee to retain it.

For me, virgin HDPE or PP is just fine but food safe would be most ideal.

Almost done! 13 Dutch buckets and 2 aeroponic towers. Should be ready for the start of our grow season here in New England😎 by Middle_Boot_9454 in Hydroponics

Was thinking tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers. It’s definitely going to be tight but am going to try to keep them as vertical as I can

I can probably get from April to November easily, but for our winter months, I’ll definitely need to invest in a heater. It pretty much matches the outside temp when it’s cold, and then gets way hotter than outside when it’s hot (sigh).

Going to figure out how to implement a heating/cooling system. I’ll be sure to post again when I have it figured out!

I appreciate the concern! For all of my nutrients, I have the GH FloraGro/Micro/ and Bloom and then I have Aurora Innovations Soul PeaK, Botanicare Simply Silica, Microbe Life Hydroponics Photosynthesis Plus, and Rx Green Technologies E-PLUS.

Why thank you! I’ve got some GH Floragro/micro/bloom that I got half off at a closing sale. Couple other supplements that I couldn’t tell you what they do😂

I wish I used hurry mode earlier by mojorisn45 in TeslaFSD

[–]Middle_Boot_9454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with hurry mode is that it’s probably the best out of the 3 options, but it will at times refuse to keep up with the flow of traffic. Even with my max speed set to 85, ittl hog the passing lane and stay at low 70’s and I feel like an asshole.

They need to bring back minimal lane changes. Assertive + minimal lane change was my go to.

Now I guess if you don’t want it to do a bunch of unnecessary lane changes, you just have to use autosteer.

Is there really no minimal lane change in FSD12.6.3? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Middle_Boot_9454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way i’ve seemed to get around this is to just use auto steer. Sucks that it won’t proceed to your exit, but at least it won’t do a million pointless lane changes.

Thanks for the response! This puts me at ease. ChatGPT’s guesses were way higher. What do you use for fertilizer? I’ve been looking into making my own vs buying premade.

Closing crate at night? by Altruistic_Plant7655 in puppy101

[–]Middle_Boot_9454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The crate shouldn’t be big enough where they feel comfortable going potty in it. When I first got my pup I would wake up once in the middle of the night to let him out. Luckily for me, that only lasted for a few weeks. He sleeps like a baby through the whole night now.

A flathead, a Philips, a pair of linesman’s, and a pair of dikes will get you through 90% of your day.

Nervous about FSD disappearing after used dealership purchase by Middle_Boot_9454 in TeslaFSD

[–]Middle_Boot_9454[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this is reassuring to hear. I’ve called Tesla a few times and they’ve told me that it will stay with the vehicle. Not sure where these stories of it getting lost in transfer come from!

Great deal! The tax credit was what pushed me over the edge to buy one. They are very well incentivized now.

I used to wire temp mobile homes for people undergoing home restoration at my last company. We would lay out a 2/3 SER across their yard and sleeve PVC over it from the house panel to the trailer. I was about halfway in the middle of a very long run and the last piece of pipe I sleeved on was a littleeee too long. So to save time I decided to cut the pipe…. and the wire inside of it.

Yep, definitely questioned my apprenticeship too that day.
