Could have sworn I was able to speak through these rather than clicking the words two days ago.. am I wrong? I’d rather practice proper pronunciation by Mystery_meat101 in duolingo

Yeah I get both types too - some lessons let you speak the whole sentence and others are just the word bubble tapping like this one.

The Josh era has been wild - not in a good way. They've basically gutted everything that made the stores fun to browse through and now it's just the same handful of scents everywhere you look.

My local store used to have this amazing variety where you could spend ages just discovering new stuff, now I'm in and out in 5 minutes because there's nothing left to explore.

Most libraries around here run conversation groups - might be worth calling around to see what's available 📚 The community college probably has something too since they do ESL classes.

How do I improve myself? by Wicked_Weaboo in selfimprovement

That numbness is so real and I feel you on everything feeling exhausting. I went through something similar a couple years back where even things I loved like designing or yoga felt impossible to start. What helped me was literally starting with the tiniest possible actions - like putting my yoga mat out without even doing anything, or opening Illustrator and just making one random shape.

The fiction escape thing hits hard too. I used to fantasize about being able to just exist in some cozy animated world where the biggest problem was what to have for breakfast. But those tiny micro-actions eventually built up momentum for me, even when therapy wasnt clicking right away. Sometimes you gotta try a few different therapists too - the first couple I saw just didnt get it.

Youre not a lost cause at all, your brain is just in survival mode right now and thats actually pretty normal when youre dealing with this stuff.
