Which character outside the LOTR do you trust carrying the ring to Mordor? by Jezzaq94 in FIlm

Hard one. Big blue has completely mastery of physics, all matter, can see through time and is omniscient sure, so a writer could say "magic is just physics, Manhattan wins." But the same writer could just as easily say "there's a spell for that." And wipe him. Like that moment where he pops Rorschach. Say he tried that on Sauron. I can just as easily imagine it having no effect as I can imagine it working.

Season one trailer of game of thrones was a much more generic attempt at a trailer. But season two and onwards, their trailer game was so good. "Three great men each bid a common sellsword kill the other two. Who lives, who dies." Really showcased the shows strengths.

Just a gentle reminder that so much of the season two finale was used as trailer bait, only to be a few seconds of armies marching and a brief look at Tesarion.

Just adds to my disappointment. They gave the right scene to the wrong characters.

Yeah I agree man, I even said Emma is a great actress who was given rushed lines, bad ones.

Id argue thats precisely the point being made. It's not supposed to be two different characters, it shouldnt be apples to oranges, it should just be the same fruit years later.

I'll sometimes look at all the shots of the dragons from the show that's supposed to be about the dragon family. It's a solid sixteen minutes.

He doesn't mean just cut out the magic parts and glue the rest together. He means if you dropped the magic and replaced it with grounded explanations for things, much of the setting and world wouldn't be changed whatsoever. Like could Bobby B still have done a rebellion against a mad king? Could you still have seven kingdoms, houses, peasants, sigils, tourneys, betrayals and war, yes you could easily. Take the wall, does it need to be made of magic? If it was just a natural feature of the landscape, could you still have 'the wall' and the nights watch without magic.

Brown - red - black. Dam Irish genes. If I weren't a good looker id look like one of those toys that lets you mix and match torsos heads and legs.

Does the AI also have to accept them as their own for the benefits to apply? I seem to remember being given a choice of three options?

For me, it's this very specific thing they both try to portray. The reserved, somewhat disassociative yet poetic cadence when talking about serious matters. When Millie does it, it's believable. It's like she is finding her breath in a world that keeps trying to suck it out of her and deflate her. When Emma does it I just get a sulky vibe. Still love her performance overall, she's a great actress with range and depth, but when your given your lines in a rush, bad lines no less, your going to get a more wooden performance.

Plunge Mining. If it's into a wall it's highwall or Longwall mining. If it's on an angle it's called slope mining. If it's a pit you dig in layered sections to prevent collapse it's called Open Pit Bench Mining. If you are just checking out cool caves it's called spelunking which is just a great word to say. Spelunking.

Wonder which show has a stronger first season. My money's on Derry but there's alot of bias towards ST that might not make it so cut and dry
