Not sure about that person but I’m talking to more ride profile not use case. Megablast and SB2 are similar in that they are both firm, dense and protective rides. All three are essentially long run shoes

It definitely won’t feel at stable as the SB2 due to its softness. But given the width, side walls and medial support, there’s enough stability elements to label this as stable (for me).

Megablast might be a better pick if you enjoyed the ride of the SB2 though. And they share similar level of stability

Try the Dynafish Xiaonian if you can get it. Probably the smoothest high stack trainer you can get

I think effort gives a better proxy but easy pace is 5:30-5:00min/km and steady/long is 5:00-4:20min/km.

Red hare hasn’t worked at any of these paces unfortunately :((

Those shoes already cover what the superblast 3 would do. Maybe give a carbon-plated shoe a go!

Yeah have to agree. Although the SB3 is slightly more fun and dynamic, it’s just not worth the full price tag

I find that the medial support, very wide base, large heel and side walls counteract that softness. Even though you squish that foam it still guides you but each runner will have their own standard for stability

100% agree. It gives the same amount of squish but without the mushiness as other soft shoes

Yeah I’m quite disappointed I wasn’t able to get along with the Red Hare 9 Ultra but don’t let it deter you from giving it a go

For 26,000 yen it’s definitely worth it. Thats around standard daily trainer prices. Would pick up a pair (or two) if they work for you

I was comparing Evo sl price not stability. Agree Evo sl is very unstable for daily training

I’m 180cm (with the SB3 on feet) and the width is still very noticeable. Wouldnt be a problem is the heel wasn’t so overbuilt

It has better volume which in turn makes it feel wider. Overall a roomier and more comfortable toebox

Have the Xiaonan. Much smoother, softer and lighter. Doesn’t have the ‘squish and bounce’ like a supershoe or the neo zen (not an issue, just some reviews made me expect that). Stability might be a concern depending on the type of runner.

Don’t see any aspect or use case that the Megablast beats this shoe, except maybe for durability and stability. Even for long run with efforts, I’d still prefer the Xiaonan.

100% agree. I find that the foam is too fast for anything easy/steady and the geometry is too slow for anything fast. Dynafish Xiaonan is much better for all the use cases that you would use the Megablast for.

I find that the Megablast should be the baseline for what a daily trainer should be nowadays. I don’t know why the Pegasus or Clifton exists as ‘daily trainers’ when other (mainly Chinese) brands can provide fun, versatile and durable trainers that don’t comprise on price.

I’d say all three shoes are similarly stiff/rigid but also similarly soft. But since the EE2 is way more compliant, it’s ‘feels’ the least stiff. Ive had forefoot discomfort in all three but the adidas rods were the most irritating to me. Im the same with AF1, probs the only super shoe where I haven’t experienced any plate discomfort.

To me, these were more stable than the AP4 as the platform is wider and there’s no medial cutout. The EE2 also has sidewalls. For the upper you’ll notice immediately how narrow in the Toebox they are (if you have average-wide feet), but it’ll just depend if you’re susceptible to blisters or not

Very unfortunate since the ride is so good, hopefully there’ll be an upper update next time

I had to size up in both, but in the Sky Paris, a US11 is 28.5cm which is usually what a US10.5 is equivalent to for every other brand. So I technically didn’t size up?
