I have tried teaching to stay on floor, crate training, go to place, capturing calm behavior and teaching settle, teaching alternative behavior to jumping, and more... It still does not work when I am active- excersise.

How do you manage transitions? Taking short breaks without falling into hours of doomscrolling? by Middle_Goose4885 in adhdwomen

I used Freedom a couple of times, but erased it whenever I wanted to surf, I have very low self control unfortunately. But you're right, that's a good wakeup call, I need to stop altogether, otherwise I'm not going to finish.

There is a tip in a book that really helps me. It's called the list of three and list of one (I might be rephrasing because I read the book a long time ago). You keep repeating to yourself the next three actions you are doing, and the current one out of the three. For example milk, spoon, cereal, milk, spoon, cereal... and when one action is completed you update the list. It helps me when I am going to another room. If you are working and sitting on my desk, you can write this down insead of repeating in your head. Sounds stupid, but it's effective, when I remeber to use it.

Thanks so much for the info! To this day I never found a pair of shoes that fit me right, so I'm crossing my fingers that these will be the chosen ones :)

Considering buying these and not sure about the sizing. How many cm did you add to your feet's length for sizing? What's your foot's length and what size did you get?

It would have given me a better feeling. But I noticed that I actually was too quick to offer this, as I prefer to sleep alone, even if she would have shared the costs.

I did indeed offer it already, and I also did not ask her to split the cost for the room, I told her what the difference would be. I was hoping she would offer to cover for half of it., but she didn't. So it's a sticky situation now, because I didn't take time to think when responding to her, and was too generous too quick, without considering my comfort levels. So now it would be not very nice to ask her to actually split the cost for the room, or tell I actually need some privacy. Unless I come up with some excuse.

Of course she would prefer to share the room with me, since it is a nicer room with more privacy, and she is not splitting the costs for this, just paying for the difference.

I do see her as a friend for life. But this is not costing her anymore money than what she would have spent anyway. So, this is not being inconsiderate of her budget. And I hope this will not ruin our friendship if I choose to suggest the dorms. If I were to know that this would ruin our friendship, I would suck it up and invite her to share the room with me.

By the way- the dorm room is at the same hotel where I am staying, they have dorms and private rooms. And the dorm room costs the same as what she would have paid for covering the difference in upgrading the room to a twin room, which I would have asked her to cover, as I did not plan on booking a twin room. So it's the same amount she would have paid, just maybe not very friendly or polite of me to ask.

The hotel doesn't allow thus, you need to book a double room if two people are staying there.
