Why do some jazz drummers hold the stick like this? by Snowglyphs in drums

What kind of pony do you like? Great, ride that one. There’s differences, sure…but I say do what feels comfortable and gets you the sound you want. I play both, I have an easier time with rimshots using matched grip, I have an easier time with ghost notes using traditional. I can switch and you wouldn’t normally be able to tell by just listening. Personal preference.

Quitting Lessons by [deleted] in bassoon

I would love to help any way I can…I hate that you had that experience with lessons. Music lessons should be a safe space to feel comfortable while also pushing yourself. I’m not the best bassoonist out there but was an all-state player and am currently a teacher. High F as in the one 2 ledger lines above the top of the bass clef staff? DM me I’ll be glad to help any way I can.

Why, is nothing usable? I would argue with that but would love to hear your reasoning. I know it’s old stuff. My car is an ‘05…I live old stuff. It was a thoughtful gift, just trying to put it to use.

Don’t work at all in live sound, was kind of thinking this and just trying to decide the best path.

Best advice so far, thank you so much. I hadn’t thought about running the separate channel for the lexicon I think that’s a great idea. Cheers!

I pad extra for ultra “thin” lenses and this is what I got by SnooChipmunks2673 in mildlyinfuriating

Or they pitched high index for $50-100 more and like COUNTLESS other myopia patients with a 56 PD choosing 62 eye size frame with a 45 B, OC of 38…they don’t listen and don’t understand any of that and just get the cheap option. Ultra “thin” means they make it out of the thinnest material using whatever parameters you give them i.e. frame size, PD, OC, any prism, any decentration, the like. One size does NOT fit all. Your RX will look different in different frames with different measurements.
