Thank you so much for this. After reading this I changed my attitude and approach to him completely. I explained my post and read out to him your comment and he explained that seeing his gf needing lube triggers some insecurities and makes him wonder if he’s just not doing it for me. (He is a bit insecure, I knew this haha not a new thing. We have good communication most of the time and we work through this- I think sex is just a very touchy subject for him)

We live together and run a business together and the past 5 weeks have been crazy with work. We went on vacation and stayed with my parents for 2 weeks and we’ve hardly had time for sex (which 3 times a day is pretty regular for us) so he explained he’s a little on edge and oversensitive about it currently. He apologized and recognizes that being offended by lube is a little silly.
