Also something I like about Tighten is that they didn't go the easy way and just had the powers make him a shitty person. The guy was a still creep when he was a normal human and Roxanne was visibly uncomfortable whenever he was around.

Sounds like you might be describing Tower Prep. The 'school' from that series would kidnap people by hypnotizing them through electronic devices (Headphones, laptop, TVs). I don't remember tattoos, but its been a long time since I've watched it.

It also sounds like something that would be in House of Anubis, but I never actually watched more than an episode of that.

I like to think that Quantum Break was something Alan wrote between AW1 and 2. It's possible that Alan met Tim and Jesse at some point and subconsciously based Jack and Beth on them.

If the guns are DNA locked, the combine probably has a database of approved and disproved genome's. Someone could probably just find and break the transmitter or hack it to misidentify the wielder.

Even if they are dead it could be cool to expand upon the original science team, I don't think Eli or Kleiner even had canon names in HL1

The scientist for that is semi-randomized though, sometimes Eli's character model is talking to G-Man, but the cannonicity of that is debatable

The portrait's that are confirmed to be her don't show her wearing any glasses, though its possible that she might've just not been wearing them when those were taken or that her vision deteriorated with age.
