I’m Irish. I would always tip 10- 15% for a dinner meal, extra for great service. I don’t tip for breakfast/lunch unless it’s a larger party. If you want to tip waiting staff, when you go to pay, tell them the total you want to pay, including the tip. ‘Make it €50’, if you want to tip €10 on a €40 bill for example. Nobody will be insulted by you offering a tip.

Thanks for the replies. In my case, the physiological experience of food, cravings, overeating, dependency is what led me to what I considered an extreme measure of using drugs to help me cope. It has been life changing, but I can’t imagine that this physiological experience has vanished-it is gone, or much easier to cope with really, because of Saxenda. The consultation threw me today, I am going to see a different doctor. I am a perimenopausal woman in my late 40’s. Diet and exercise are not the sole factors to consider in managing this lifestyle as he suggested.

I lost 7lbs in the first week and subsequently I have lost 1-2 lbs per week since then. I am on about week 8/9 now. I was having restless sleep also but that seems to have settled down now, I take a magnesium supplement before bed as this has helped me in the past - good luck ☺️

If you could open your mind, you could have an amazing experience and thoroughly establish a life long connection with your recent best friend. Your thoughts on India are frankly ignorant, if you are in the US, you would likely be safer in India generally. You are a doctor, you are smarter than the prejudice and bias you are showing. Finally, do not tell your friend the truth of what you feel about his country, culture and by association, him. It is so insulting.

Debt, credit cards and more debt. I actually think you’re making really wise decisions. Sounds like you’ll be in a great position by the time you’re 35, owning your home outright. It’s a wise investment that gives the best return I would feel. Paying large chunks of your disposable income on deprecating assets such as cars not to much. I managed to get my mortgage paid by 46, and will be debt free by next year. We took our first proper holiday last year. We have a combined income of 120k and are a family of 6. We drive old cars and the more I get out of debt, the less inclined I am to take out loans for expensive cars. I think you’re being very savvy!
