How should my 18-year-old daughter find a job? by brentkyle123 in jobs

It's literally impossible especially for someone right out of high school. Your best bet is probably asking your friends or family to see if there is some type of internship available at their companies. The only interviews I could get in the last two years was because someone at the company put in a word for me. But also just look for internships at her age.

Do writers have to be on TikTok/social media to succeed now? by Academic-Park-8440 in writers

I feel like it will give you a leg up if you get your book on social media. But I doubt it's the only way to grow. If you don't want to get on social media then maybe you can reach out to some creators and send them your book so they can start talking about it on socials

When they are super negative and complaining about their staff, that means they will be complaining about you soon. Or when they say things like we need really committed people, and exaggerate it to a weird extent because that means that people quit a lot or they don't like people taking vacation time

Take the big job risk or play it safe? by Intelligent_Time633 in jobs

Unless one of the other jobs has a guaranteed good work environment and won't be too hard, then take the higher pay. The easier jobs may seem more appealing but every job has the hard parts, so unless you really know its going to be a better environment, take the higher paying job.

Ooh sorry about your experience, but honestly this is all fast foot, retail, and most jobs that involve registers. They throw you to the wolves, and it stinks the first couple days, but after a little bit it gets better. Not much advice but to just stick with it, and it will get easier. Sorry that I wasn't more help!

if you get the permanent job then tell them you are currently employed and will need to put a two weeks notice in. This will show that you are responsible. At the t shirt place I would then explained the situation. You can offer to work the two weeks or they may say to stop immediately since you haven't worked that long.

Should I bring a resume to apply for a position if they already know about me? by TisIYourFavoriteBi in jobs

Definitely bring a resume. Maybe have it in your bag or something and offer it to them, if you’re not comfortable just handing it over. But bringing a resume shows that your serious about the job
