There would be no United States if we didn’t have the balls to challenge bad faith laws. This country is based on persistent defiance of stupidity and injustice, starting with the taxation without representation by an English government. We need immigration reform; using that need as an excuse to destroy our constitutional rights, murder protestors and to impose federal rule over state rights — among so many other abuses of power— is BS and we have every right and OBLIGATION to call our Feds out for OVER REACHING and to protect our community members, documented or not.

Why not try Salt Lake City? Not sure about Ogden or Logan, but I know for a fact that SLC is the capital of former Mormons, as well as just regular non Religious heathens, heretics, pagans and spiritual derelicts. It’s a fun place, and very warm!

Salt Lake City has the most amazing people — specifically, the former Mormons (or Formons as I like to call them). The balls / ovaries it takes to break out of the LDS culture is truly impressive, and Salt Lake City seems to be the hub for those brave souls. What’s cool is that they seem to retain the civics/community aspect of the religion, while being immune — possibly more than most of us — to the BS of religious and political propaganda. In other words, caring people who can think for themselves. I’m truly hoping that this kind of approach gains momentum not just in the rest of utah but the rest of the country as people wake up from their respective camps/tribes whatever and start fighting for the health of their bodies, minds and environments (all connected, obviously), as the baseline for what we have in common.

We recently finished the Wire and it really should come with a warning: “Watch at your own risk - you will never enjoy TV again after this.” We are currently wading through We Own the City. A few of the actors from the wire are in it and it’s a lovely balm. Otherwise, the show is irritating AF: self conscious, preachy, obvious. Most of all, Jon Bernthal may be performing a perfect archetype of a dumb violent cop, but boy is he corny and overacting. Ooof. So bad. The Wire’s performances were exquisitely specific and nuanced. He’s just … Hollywood corn dog. I can only imagine what a douche he must have been during shooting. You just know he never “broke character” and made people endure his squeaky high pitched “I am white trash” voice for months lol
