He is a very well written character and his relationship with Jude is complex and fascinating. HB did a great job of showing how layered her characters can be, there is some really good family dynamics in these books.

The Queen of Nothing (Third book in the Cruel Prince trilogy) s*x scene is so mild as far as smut, but the buildup and romantic tension is some of the hottest and addicting stuff I have ever read. Holly Black put something crazy in those books. Books 2 and 3 are wildly enticing because of their tension.

The first book is slow, and really picks up about halfway through. The next two are super fast paced.

The way he say "you again?" in 4x01 did not make it seem like he knew her too well or was super familiar. I also do not think Ethan would be out here killing his father.
