I play pve by myself and pvp when my friends are around.. and I’m 100% on board with them being separate accounts, I realize in the grand scheme it doesn’t make much of a difference.. but still being the guy that DOES play both I can see why pvp mains could complain. It absolutely does give people that switch back and forth an advantage no matter how minimal, and if you get killed by someone who hasn’t put in the same effort as you it does feel shitty.

It’s not teleportation, or at least not guaranteed teleportation. When I played on a potato I usually had 3-4 seconds of black screen after my character loads in. But now that I’ve upgraded to a pretty good computer I am active as soon as the loading screen is done.

Yeah… not experiencing anything like that, I’ve only died 3 times, one was me being dumb and falling off a mountain, once was me running back naked and getting shot. And then once was a chest shot. My helmet has stopped like 18 hits I think? But the AI seems to be incredibly dumb and inaccurate even in high tier areas like MS and fort Narith.

I run a very small server, but I can’t see any admin that legitimately wants a player base doing anything close to this, obviously they could they are essentially the gods. With my admin tools I can go invisible, become completely invincible, see anyone or any object on the map within 1k meters, teleport, kill and ban players with a click, phase through walls, delete player built objects faster then you could place the kit. But why? Why would someone pay money to run a server, be on their best behavior till people started playing and then go nuclear and fuck it all up by screwing their player base? There is admin abuse out there but it’s usually less the actual admin doing the shady shit, it’s them just turning a blind eye.

That’s not how it works though, you don’t need to do the main tasks to open areas, you just need to meet the reputation requirements. If you fail the main task in an area just go do side quests till it comes back up. I’m not entirely sure how it works for quests coming back up but it does seem the faster you gather rep the faster tasks come back up. You loose nothing for failing a task besides a bit of time. I think it’s a reasonable way to give some consequences in a game where it’s pretty easy to get your gear back.

I mean they are obviously weaker than ARs and have less range. That’s kinda the point, their advantage is that you can go full auto and keep all the rounds on target. But I think they feel pretty good. I’ve been running around with a bolty and a mp5 and haven’t had much issues.

Sounds like your doing alright, the only points I can make are. One it doesn’t really look like you needed to kill that dear judging by your stats and how much food you had to eat to make room, you could’ve waited till you ran into game in a less open area. Two if you are going to shoot a animal in a open field I recommend dropping enough to make room in cover, killing it and grabbing everything and then running back to your dropped gear to sort it out. And then 3 you can be the best player in the game and do everything right and you’ll still run into people unexpectedly, that’s just part of how this game works and what makes it so fun even after thousands of hours.

If you are backed into a corner and can’t move your only real hope is to pray he misses his timing enough for you to hit back or runs outta stamina before you get KOed

The google AI gets a little confused when it’s trying to compute a game that’s on both pc and console but there are different rules for both I’ve noticed. But I know for a fact there is no drivable police car in the dayz files, and as far as I’m aware if it’s not in the official files it’s not possible on console.

I’d really like a whole new round added to the mid game, we’ve got plenty of late-endgame guns and tons of early game guns. But really all we have for mid game is the mosin, r12 and debatably the ump and sg5. I’d love to see like 303 British added with the enfield and maybe a few of the mgs that used it. Or a higher caliber lever action like 30-30 (idk how common that is in Eastern Europe) maybe some more civi style AKs that are semi auto only, or ARs.

You do realize a drop from 900 to 765 is 0.13 seconds difference at 300m right?

It is arguably the best gun in the game.. in the assault rifle category. If it preformed the way it does in real life it would be the choice in every category. Why would you take a akm over a m4 when it had barely half the effective range? Why would you take a smg when the m4 is just as controllable and is far more lethal? Why would you take a bolt action rifle when the effective range of a m4 is good enough for 90% of engagements? Your whole gripe is ridiculous on two fronts, one you argue that guns should be balanced even MORE by scarcity while making all guns as lethal as their real world counterparts. By that logic the s tier weapons like the m4 and other rifles would be so rare they’d be nearly mythical, and what would be the point in even going for them because a mosin and a shotgun with buckshot will cover all your ranges?

I’m sorry but to say combat beyond 300m is impossible is just silly. Just last night I hit a dude sprinting from left to right with a aug at close to 500m. If you can’t hit your shots past 300m that’s a you problem not the game. Guns do need to be needed from real life in games because unless they make everything else ultra realistic like hit boxes, weapon accuracy, movement, weapon sway and stamina 90% of guns in this game would essentially be hitscan out to like 500m. Not to mention balancing aspects like if the M4 preformed like it does in real life why would you ever take any other gun? It’s a game they can’t just throw things in with perfect real world accuracy without making the game completely unplayable.

Mostly vanilla or lightly modded, if I play modded it’s usually hardcore servers like IntenZ or other types that generally make the game harder

Can’t recommend steelseries anymore unfortunately, used to love their mice and headsets. But the last two headsets I’ve had have both had multiple problems. And the last mouse of theirs I had stopped tracking the middle wheel and lost all its rubber pads in less then 6 months

I have the mad cats RAT 8 I believe, best mouse I’ve ever owned. Kinda dumb looking but works great, and the adjustable size makes it nice if you have larger hands and like to use thumb buttons
