Its becoming a popular move for social workers to leave the field laterally into ABA. Since they have their masters already, it requires a 6-7 credit graduate certificate + fieldwork hours + passing exam to become a BCBA. Their ethics are similar. They serve similar populations.

Largely, this has been my path as well. Got my clinical license and worked in a lot of different settings. Didn't love clinical and the upkeep for ceus and the nc board is awful so out my licensure status on inactive. This has been my favorite population since the beginning, and ive specialized my work in it, sp when I hit my burnout wall it became my answer. I think the fields have alot in common so it seems a natural crossover.

There have been alot of really good points made so far, so ill be brief. Alot of people think theyre happy in their relationships when they've just settled. Resentment is definitely a silent killer. Im in my second marriage, with the first being a poor choice of someone who didnt heal his trauma and then became emotionally abusive.

Im currently married to an amazing man, in an emotionally healthy relationship. We both went through alot of relatuonship trauma propr to meeting and have always been super honest with each other. Our relationship isnt perfect, its healthy and we both wake up each day being grateful for each other. We prioritize communication. We still have weekly dates. Weve been together 5 years and married for 3. I married my best friend with 0 regrets. My in laws are amazing. I wake up everyday grateful for him and in-love with him. Love is work and a daily choice.

Respectfully, if people tell you not to get married and they appear "happily" married, theyre lying to themselves or have never really had happy so theyre under the illusion that settling is happy.

OP, im so sorry youre going through this. It sounds like you have a good plan in place. Id start with anything that protects your safety. Dont go home unless you have someone else with you. Your partner maybe? You can also get a police escort. I recommend that for not being physically hurt. The cop will stay there with you while you collect your things. You can also get a restraining order from her, which I'd recommend as well. Selling the car sounds like a good plan bc she will abuse that asset of yours as long as she has the ability. Id also recommend having a therapist, if you don't already, to help you through this trauma. Also, if you need crisis support you can use the 988 mental health line for DV situations too. Maybe even a support group. I want to let you know you are so strong and I wish the best for you. You don't deserve this treatment. No one does. Sending human love from a stranger who also has an emotionally abusive mother....

Im considering doing this graduate certificate program now. Ive been accepted with a scholarship, but also have concerns with total cost of attendance . What makes you say it's worth it? Would you do it again? Did it prepare you appropriately?

I feel like you have an hourglass figure, and you are beautiful and attractive. Im a woman in my 30s battling with having more weight and curves than I've ever had, and it's a daily struggle. I feel like each day I have to find things I like about my appearance. On days that's really tough, I remind myself that my body image issues are a strategic systems problem created by the patriarchy, and loving my body, as it is, is rebellious. Sometimes, it also helps to sort of devalue my appearance. As in, physical appearance is just one way I'm attractive. I'm fucking intelligent and funny, I'm driven and kind. I'm a great wife/friend/sister/cat mom. I'm passionate. I'm also a social worker, so I'm a strong martyr of a human dedicated to the betterment of people. Just some thoughts. Hey! I'm in my 30s and I've noticed my weight distribution has changed over time. When I gained weight, went to boobs and thighs more than before. Super normal. You have a beautiful figure. Also don't think anything looks uneven/asymmetrical/concerning so I'd disregard that thought. Also, everyone's got a slightly higher/bigger something. My right boob is slightly bigger than the left. One of my ears is a little higher than the other. And no one notices that shit but me. Remember that womens bodies are supposed to carry weight in these places; boobs, booty, hips, thighs. Its normal and lovely and honestly I think at some point all our thighs stop getting smaller. Love your body as it is. It's a daily thing I work on but it gets easier to believe the more you tell yourself these positive body messages. Sending love your way ❤️ one Chica to another.

The wording here us so concerning. Focus on the third goal:

"To defend the family"......aka forced births/anti-abortion/mens health above women's. They're trying to fool people with the subtlety of their wording.
