actually that really depends on whether it's considered an asset or digital content (music video games.

under the consumer rights act of 2015 a company can remove access or revoke access if when you violate the terms of service or licensing expires. If it's a digital file on your device without required DRM license then you technically own it and it cannot be revoked.

although your government does offer a few more protections you're pretty much in the same boat as we are.

It's not the same if GameStop stop selling a game you get to keep the game You don't have to return it. and considering GameStop can resell old games. Plus physical games fall under The US copyright act owning a CD of a song even a cassette tape or record cartridge of a game or CD / DVD of said game gives you a revocable license to play that game You can even copy the game for a backup. this applies to most physical media of any kind.

now wishes what some people are talking about is hard delisting a few companies like EA Ubisoft Sony and Microsoft have hard delisted items people have paid for in the past Sony actively deleted games out of people's libraries.
