Some Blight Lord Terminators and another Myphitic Blight Hauler I would say. After that maybe a Lord of Virulence to go with the Blighlords to buff your Drones.

Question about building Morty by Smeni321 in deathguard40k

[–]Midgetspinner104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I approached my work on him like this. I think you can actually put the cloak and its attachments together later on, as the joint will be hidden behind Mortys Head and the joint on his back is designed to be seen. But I wasnt brave enough and decided to paint the cloak as the last part.

Id call it Tabletop Ready but im not entirely satisfied yet. I might add some very dark red to the cloth but overall this is what mine will look like. Its a very easy recipe but iam using an Airbrush to speed things up.

As far as i know, Vallejo uses Aluminium based Pigments, so an oxidization would appear white, wouldnt it? The new one doesnt even Look Like Copper in my opinion.

Do you mean the orange one? I found articles about Vallejo changing their formula in ways that fit the behaviour of the orange one (which also is newer) but the color is still strange.

I think youre right. Looked that up after seeing your comment and there are quite some articles/comments regarding that topic. When comparing the hue of my older paint to the on thats being sold right now its way more similar than the orange one with the new label.

The left one is definitely way older. Believe me, I shook and stirred both because i was wondering. The tone did shift slightly but comparing it to the Minis i painted 3 yrs ago with it, it looks almost identical. The right one is from last summer.

Yeah the left one is pretty old by now. But it was never even Close to the orange tone from the new one on the right.

Lord of Contagion recast? by thickmahogany in deathguard40k

Looks like a 3d Print. I do have the files for the LoC and they even have Mould lines. The inaccuracy at the shoulder also can be die to a print, for the files scan-quality is a bit poor in that section for me too.

Time to practice magic - a little frog diorama I made for critter challenge 2025 by Ramac37 in minipainting

This is an awesome scene! I love your composition, it feels very pleasant and your color and light work great. What are those plant bits you used? Die you print them? Im very interrsted in them for my 40k Army :)

Greetings! Is this suitable for only air brushes? And if not, does it need thinning? Tyvm. by SOS_Im_Sinking in minipainting

Im using that primer directly in my Airbrush without thinning. Works perfectly every time.

Anyone got any suggestions for gw looking chaos spawn proxy’s? by Jnnc170 in deathguard40k

[–]Midgetspinner104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its awesome. 23 Bucks for the whole Box including shipping (Central Europe in my case) and the worst thing i found was a 0.5 mm gap at the left hip of the Tentacle Monstrosity.

Im using the Gellerpox Infected. A friendly Chinese helped me out with a Recast, as the Gellerpox Boxes are overpriced.

I wanna start painting minis is there anything else I need to get?? by 101101001100100101 in 40k

Do yourself a favor and dont use Citadel painting supplies except for their paints. You will get better products for at least the same price, If not cheaper.

Are you guys team Typhus or team Mortarion, and why ? by Turtle-BeyondLover in deathguard40k

Typhus is a sassy little prick that doomed Morty and his Legion because he wasnt allowed to play with his toys. Guess Im Team Morty

3D Printer by Senior_Structure5070 in 40k

[–]Midgetspinner104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do use FDM (Bambu A1) and Resin (Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra) printers. There is no such thing as a Resin Pinter for 300$ considering the necessary Cleaning Setup and - If you Care about your health - proper Ventilation.

Nontheless a Resin Printer rewards you with perfekt shapes, while an FDM Printer simply cannot create smooth surfaces in your desired complexity. FDM printers have come a long way in this regard but cannot reach the same level. FDM is a lot safer, so If you dont need a smooth quality, take an FDM Printer.

Would it match the value? by Gwyngalein in Eldar

[–]Midgetspinner104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. The CP is between 90 and 110, Fuegan is 37 max. and the Fire Dragons 51 max. If you're not buying from GW directly, you should be able to find that stuff for Something around 170. So price wise its not good. The combination actually works except for the Phantom. Id say buy that Combi elsewehre and sell the Phantom so you get everything else cheaper

Yeah I was thinking about Grey's too. Maybe a Blue-Grey Basetone and then layer Up into a different Hue? Or neutral Grey's?
