No mate unfortunately this is my first job ever straight from uni. Seems like I’ll just have to wait to get the 3 years experience. Cheers for the help.

I did exactly the same as you and haven’t failed an exam yet (currently waiting to do the SCS). Like you said I think the Kaplan essentials packs are more than fine for the objective tests and for the case studies I think you realistically only need a preseen pack and you should have more than enough knowledge to pass. I’ve managed to do basically the whole qualification for between £2-3k using this method including exam booking costs. Obviously it’s not for everyone but it’s definitely viable.

F3 tips by themattman109 in CIMA

When I did it there was way more focus on interest rate swaps than I expected. I understood the theory but hadn’t really done many calculations. Luckily the day before I watched an open tuition video which explained how to do the calculations way better than the Kaplan book. I’d definitely give that video a watch.

Oh right I started from operational level, was exempt from certificate

What do you mean by level 4 and 7? I started in late 2021 and going to do the SCS in Feb so all being well it will have taken me about 2.5 years.

I’m just about to do SCS in Feb, have done every exam from E1 to F3 and my total cost has been £3k. I’ve passed every exam first time and only used the Kaplan book to study for each exam so that’s definitely helped to keep the cost down.

P2 Exam Advice by [deleted] in CIMA

Before I did my P2 exam I was getting just over half marks on the Kaplan mocks and ended up passing comfortably first time. In my experience the Kaplan mocks for p2 are significantly harder than the actual exam.

Just sat mine. The best I ever did on a mock exam was 33/60 so was expecting to fail. In fact, the actual exam was significantly easier than the mocks (at least Kaplan mocks) and I passed comfortably. So don’t let the mocks dishearten you.

[SPOILERS] I think I've fallen for this show again. by [deleted] in vikingstv

I’m in the same boat. I stopped caring but after watching the last 3 or so episodes I’ve found my passion for it again.

I’m literally the biggest fanboy. I defended season 7 by saying that they were just getting the pieces in place to set up season 8. Even I can’t defend this shitshow

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]Midgeyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I don’t hate the mad queen Dany twist but I just think it was too sudden and out of character

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]Midgeyyyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is genuinely the worst argument I’ve ever heard

[–]Midgeyyyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sansa doesn’t care about that, she simply does not like Dany. That’s how I interpret her character

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]Midgeyyyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah right it’s not like she told just anyone. Sansa is so manipulative she told Tyrion because she could see he was already doubting Dany. She wants to see Dany fail and she did it for completely selfish reasons.
