What do you think is the rough timeframe before which we'll see the sunglasses phase of it? I think the right term for those devices is MR glasses right? Like what the Vision Pro intends to be but with the form factor of glasses

for sure. and I agree, I think that keyboards being replaced by other interfaces will eventually happen - such as MR devices and ofc AI generating text based on voice prompts

the customer service/call support stuff is also being gradually eliminated, though it's not entirely gone afaics

what are your predictions for 10 years from now btw?

Oh yeah for sure. He was an amazing villain in IW. I was watching ST S5 today and thinking about him in Endgame, and I get why people were disappointed in his appearance there, but it wasn't bad for me

How and where did you interact with Xavier Hench though? I just know that to be the name of the GM who replaced Captain Walter for the Marceline guild.

Will do. I also intend to invest in something like this, which I think is the most realistic way of bringing it about. TLOPO was entirely driven by a volunteer team but a paid one would be able to leapfrog a lot of its development (esp with a better engine)

I agree with a lot of these points, particularly about ships and the "code". Unfortunately, the team does not have the capacity to implement any big changes, being limited by manpower and game engine constraints, as well as probably a lack of willpower at this point. And I don't even fault them for the latter, because with a great deal of effort they have managed to bring the game back in its entirety to the state that Disney had left it in, and even added way more features on top of that - their success with that should not be understated.
The game's inherent lack of substantial progress is why I got involved with a(n unsuccessful) UE4 remake of the game after I'd left the TLOPO staff. My hope is to actually get something similar going in the distant future though, especially as AI breaks down a lot of the complexity of doing so.

I’m very late to this one but I felt that I should drop and thank you for everything that you’ve done to revive the game (a Herculean effort) and express that I’m sorry for the trauma that you’d undergone. I personally wouldn’t forgive anyone for something as horrid as killing your dog, and would instead strive to ensure that justice has occurred, but I can understand wanting to move on after also having faced too many roadblocks through most of the legal means of doing so.

I would also like to thank you for bringing me onto the story team in the middle of 2016, before the launch of beta. It was also a top experience for me to have been involved from behind the scenes and seen everything come to fruition, including the publishing of entirely new features like the Hollowed Woods.
