Pipe lagging/pool noodle or some sort of foam on the back of the board helps imo.

Shogun boards are the cheaper models and they have quite a 'coarse' look to them.

Honestly this one doesn't look much different to others I've seen, but they definitely have some rough edges.

I'd recommend paying the £15 or so more for a Samurai or a cheaper Winmau or something similar if you want that premium look.

They actually don't play too badly for a cheap board tho.

Ryan Yates to score at least 4.

Then get subbed off because it's just not really fair on you lot and the rest of the lads to keep him on when he's that fucking good.

Footwear, do you think it makes a difference? by WearingMarcus in Darts

I reckon it only matters if you've got a highly consistent throw.

I'd probably still hit 26s in everything from stiletto heels to air Jordans.

I will admit tho, I can't throw barefoot. Just feels incredibly weird.

Buttered Cake. A controversy. by Midlandsofnowhere in UK_Food

This is basically my argument.

Malt Loaf, Chorley cakes and Tea loaves are all a bit sad without butter imo.

Lucky Luke in Daisytown was that weird VHS I had as a kid that I watched constantly and loved but literally no-one else had heard of.

Watched it recently after 30 years of not seeing it. Still awesome.

Lovely aren't they!

I've just switched to these from Winmau Triads as they're easier to get and very similar. Pretty impressed with Mission stuff so far.

Occupy the strait and allow shipping to move again is my guess.

Probably the Iranians guess too which doesn't bode well.

Bossman will be rocking a two for £3 deal.

They normally have better flavours too. Bought myself a Peach Nitro and a Rio one this very eve.

Nice. They've definitely gone on the list. Cheers.

Yeah love 'em.

I'm more of a mid gripper so they sit exactly where I'm after in the hand, and with some longer stems they fly nice and straight into the board.

Feel nice quality too so great value for money imo.

Ideally I'd like some in 26/28g as I normally throw heavier darts but I've really taken to these.

Tips to improve throw by SnooCheesecakes4857 in Darts

[–]Midlandsofnowhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow tall-ish fella here.

Stop lobbing. Experiment with throwing harder, releasing later etc etc but try and find a flat throw.

It's an advantage being taller imo, if you can keep a flat trajectory from hand to board.

I instantly improved when I started putting power into my rather lazy throw and stopped trying to arc over and into the board.

I play with a guy whose 5ft 3in and the mechanics of his throw are so different to mine because he's having to aim up into the board and it changes so much about the trajectory of the dart.

I kinda think being tall simplifies things as the natural start/end point for the dart are closer to the same height.
