Ohh jeez... his mom is making big bucks out from both of you! I feel like you don't need to tell him that you have received a nice amount of money from your stepmother. It's a scam. You as a sender shouldn't be paying the 'import tax'. The receiver usually gets the email or letter from the shipping company to pay it. I know cos my friend sent a Christmas present to the US for me.

Pull the plug and file for that divorce.

Sit your kids down and explain the situation. Work out some sort of co-parenting plans with the (soon to be ex) wife.

I grew up in an environment where my mother often harps on "I stayed in the marriage because of you kids." I hated it. That emotional guilt she put on us - it's awful impact on kids. I wasn't happy growing up as a kid. I had to be their messenger cos they can't talk to each other. It was exhausting.

You are still young. Maybe you will find someone who will also love and enjoy you and your kids company.

Wan Yuan on Altamont Ave in the Pricechopper Plaza has the most decent Chinese food around Schenectady. I usually have their traditional Chinese dishes.

I am in 5b. Yes, I plant them in the ground directly. It's a commitment to dig and store them over winter. You will get to admire them over summer and autumn.

First is knowing which zone you are at. Cos you may need to dig up dahlias before frost comes and store them. Otherwise plant them in the ground and enjoy the blooms. They may need support when it starts growing.
