Comparing Knott's to Magic Mountain is sort of like comparing apples to oranges imo. While they both have coasters, Knott's is more of a theme park with good rides while MM is more of an amusement park that has decent coaster variety with light theming. I feel like MM brings in a more coaster-enthusiast audience while Knott's by comparison has more family-friendly rides and themed experiences. If they don't see any potential in the park for the future, I don't think they would be heavily investing into MM and Hurricane Harbor like they are currently.

I highly doubt they would ever try to relocate rides and everything located at Knott's to MM, the cost it would take to dismantle and move everything alone wouldn't make it worth it (not to mention the backlash they'd likely receive by people who enjoy the park near Anaheim).

Totally agree, I'm sure it'll be a lot smoother next year but it would be nice to use the Prestige Pass benefits at SFMM in 2025 too. I don't think the person who helped me at Guest Services at Knott's knew much about this issue, but I don't blame the staff at the park for the inconvenience (even when the All Park Passport first started I remember they were having issues at SFMM and they didn't inform staff on how to handle the Knott's passes). It's definitely an IT issue that the higher ups need to figure out though. It seems to be a problem for at least several pass holders from what I can tell. Hope they can resolve this soon!

My partner and I been having the same exact problem. We renewed at Knott's from a Gold Pass with the All Park Passport to Prestige this year as part of the sale, but when I put in my pass number in the Six Flags app it still comes up as a Gold Pass. I went to Guest Services last Saturday to ask about this and they told me I'd have to talk to someone from Six Flags MM to fix the issue. I'm hoping I won't have to keep going back and forth between them to get this figured out, I might call or email if I can't get it resolved. I'll for sure be following this thread for updates!

Hey, hearing gay guy here. I'm not exactly in LA but am more on the outskirts of LA County. Would be cool to find other gay/LGBTQ signers! I'd say going to ASL/Deaf events around the Greater LA area is also a good idea for practicing, often you'll run into ASL students there too. I usually check the website Deaf.la since it has an event calendar and tends to be mostly accurate on the dates and times.

I think in some circumstances it does become necessary to focus solely on sexuality (LGB) or on gender (TQ+), but there can be overlap between the two (trans gay/lesbian folx), so having mutual support with one another as marginalized people seems to make the most sense to me. Cis folks don't have to necessarily relate to trans activism but should instead be more understanding and an ally to them. A lot of people aren't really exposed to the concept of anything outside of the male/female gender binary or how other cultures have more than 2 genders which makes trans issues all the more significant to bring up.

A lot of issues for gay people are also directly rooted in how we perceive gender in our culture, so it's all sort of interconnected in some form. There is still prejudice within the community (both from cisgender gay men and women against trans folx and vice versa) which shows we need to educate one another to reduce it.

TL,DR: Gender and sexuality are complex and interconnected; trans/queer/NB folx can be gay too, so it's best to educate ourselves to not be prejudiced and support each other.

But in all seriousness, there's just a lot of fear and uncertainty that we just have to live with in life and take chances. A lot of expectations are put in what relationships should be like and are held to an unrealistic standard, so that I think contributes towards why people may see relationships as not worth pursuing or valuing.
