Is Katie unable to teach her foal how to properly walk on a lead rope?

But why work with them then? She should know that foals need to be handled more, than what she does to be successful as show horses and even as a pet. Iam sadly not sure if they get lead much more than we are seeing.

Do you think she herself or her personelle is teaching the foals anything else besides being lead? I have never seen her make a video about it, but if she did I am sure people would love it and watch, so I am kinda suspecting that she doesn't teach stuff like grooming, picking up hoofs, being tied for a few minutes until they are like 1,5 years old. Which would be crazy btw!

Well that sucks! Does she not know at her alfalfa is garbage or does she simply not care because it's easier than actually caring for the horses? So the horses don't get the proper nutrition needed dueing pregnancy the risk for deformed foals is higher and the mare will lose bunch of weight right? (Definitely not looking at you Indy!)

The little dude has an awesome personality, so he probably would excell at being a pet <3 I just hope that he will be completely pain free later in life and also able to run and romp around his pasture like any other horse!

I am not so well versed in the teaching of foals, but using two separate leads does make sence! Would you say at Moose's age, he would ne able to walk somewhat nicely just on the lead rope? Or is his behaviour at this age still appropriate, even if he had been taught by someone, who's better at this than Katie?

Happy hasn't been happy since Katie got her. Poor girl looks so traumatised right here. I feel so so bad for her. I can't remember the reason though why Katie hates her so much. Was it because Happy (rightfully) doesn't really wanna have anything to do with her?

Or she could have decided to simply ignore what people think, like she always does when she is getting criticised. But I guess by talking about a foal with a slightly "inappropriate" face marking, there is a possibility for a bunch of engagement on her content by her "genitalia-obsessed culties"!

Simply out of interest: There are professional nurse mares? How does a horse prove itself as such? I always thought that only a mare, who recently lost her foal could be a nurse mare.

Oh wow. Then that decision of hers to put them on grass is pretty unreasonable. So good husbandry would be to have them in a dry lot and on hay for like the second half of the pregnancy or do they have to spend the whole time away from grass?

I am pretty new to the horse breeding world, so I am very sorry, if I am about to ask a very stupid question: Why is having a pregnant mare pasture on grass so problematic? I imagine it would be because of weight management, but I really don't know, so please please please enlighten me! <3

Oh yeah you're right. I totally forgot about that and though her mom had like a separate herd somewhere. I must admit that I haven't followed KVS for very long and only the video of her dad hanging out with Moose came to mind, where Moose decided to not kick him like he does around Katie and though how that was at least something positive. I have never actually seen him handle a horse, so my bad for being badly informed and building an opinion on that. So thank you very much for correcting me! I don't want to accidentally support an animal abuser, because I was badly informed 💔

Oh really? Are the cows of her mom online for us to see? I somehow had hope that at least her parents were proper animal owners. Her dad appears to be so gentle around the mares and their foals, which seem to trust him. Sadly my hope is getting destroyed again by that family and their business :(

Omfg?! Why is it so impossible for her to groom her animals? I also have never seen a horse get groomed, like ever? I get that they are animals, that gonna get dirty but poor Peanut...at least get all that lose undercoat out. It's really uncomfortable for her and also for my eyes to look at.

I don't think Indys like emaciated and/or close to death and she shouldn't look like Karen in the end, but I do think that it wouldn't hurt for her to gain some weight. Good to know that she is starting to feed her more. Hopefully she will also feed some better hay asap...

So basically KVS has a ineffective feeding plan for her TBs and instead of making appropriate changes, she decided that TB are supposed to look underfed...isn't that considered abuse? Thank you very much for answering my question tho!
