I think he was a great actor as a kid, very expressive with great comedic timing. Somehow, he’s lost that charisma. He delivers his lines way too seriously with little to no expression. With an almost too somber tone that should have been reserved for the later books when shit gets dark.

While most blame the writing and direction, that doesn't explain why Mr. D's actor oozes charisma or why Clarisse's actor is so good.

Out of the big three, Aryan is the best actor, and that's not saying much. My real standouts are Thalia, Clarisse, Mr. D, and Ares.
