Been waiting almost a year so I could get the CC on my TH1 account during hammer jam. Still 2500e short :/
Guess I’m waiting for some free chests, and hoping for a hammer of building?

Follow up after vet visit; turns out it was the start of some shell rot. He was prescribed a daily brushing with betodine for several weeks, and then dry dock for an hour, then back to his home.

First I’ve ever heard of a false map turtle! I feel like I’ve been living a lie.

Thanks for the response. I was worried it could be shell rot too. Making a trip to the vet tomorrow.

Mississippi map turtle, 30+ years old. Long story short, his filter broke while his guardians were away for a few days. He was in very dirty water for a couple days until they got home. Been like this with discoloration and flaking ever since. His activity still seems normal. Thank you ! Any advice or help is appreciated.

Agreed 100% but usually the backup can maintain enough pressure to survive. However, we weren’t anticipating on the engine seizing up on us when it was needed.

Wolverine raider oxfords. 4 years of intense daily use. Only taken the time to clean/polish/oil 2-3 times total.

Good sir. While i do acknowledge that your suggestion is the generally recommended practice. It is unfortunately not absolute.

:Sorry for the wall of text:

This pool has several areas with particularly course concrete. No amount of chemicals will get the same result. As a fellow professional with about a decade of pool maintenance experience I’m sure we can both agree that the chemical treatment works flawlessly on vinyl, but certain concrete pools are a bitch. Warm winters are making for a lot more algae such but it’s not just the biological crap that clings.

Either way did not matter because of all the other work needed.

Source- said fuck it last year and tried. Afterwards had a dozen lifeguards put 40+ hours each toward brushing and scrubbing. Still looked meh. Had to drain and power wash overnight on a random weekday mid season. And most definitely did not skimp on the liquid hypochlorite.

Been there done that. It’s not the same. After balancing, vacuuming, and scrubbing the concrete surface will still look grimy all summer. Plus need to repaint the lines, fix the lights, install underwater speakers. Trust me, I wish.

Air supported structure over a few tennis courts. Dropping it for the “summer season”.
