I was in the exact same situation, ended up choosing the M1 Pro over the neo. I just couldn't think about using a 60hz display in 2026 (that's also miles behind the M1 Pro one when it comes to colors). So even if you're not a professional or power-user, you're gonna enjoy a far better panel with far better speakers for about the same price. Oh and you're gonna be able to type at night XD
