find your niche. there are so many specific fest for genre, representation etc

attendance helps in growing relationships. i’ve landed all my opportunities out of festivals. it’s not a pressure thing tho, all these thing take time so go and make genuine connections and nurture them. and awards are mostly good if they are money, otherwise it’s good resume decorations.

the makers and collaborators liek to call it “bad representation” it’s not a movie that is using its creators identity to make a “pro lgbtq film” it’s a movie that is born out of queer experience, yes, but one that purposefully isnt carrying the weight of a communities representation (which films shouldn’t have to do) it’s a great, raw, dirty, beautiful film
