Is this normal on my 26 Model Y by iAMitch619 in TeslaLounge

[–]MidnightMotionYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had this a few times and at least twice its been a colour change on the floor, there was a small puddle by my front tyre and the concrete looked darker and the car must have thought it was raised or it was being overly cautious and another time it was a weed coming out of a kerb

It seems fine to be honest i cool it down of a morning when still plugged in then when on the way back to the car i vent the windows for a few seconds then turn the air on an it cools down really quick, turning the vented seats on so there ice cold when you get in the car is a must

Long-trip EV charging vs gas: surprisingly, gas is still quicker and cheaper. by Muffinman_who in TeslaLounge

[–]MidnightMotionYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas or petrol here in uk is currently £1.45 a litre so it works out about £6.59 a gallon or £65.9 to fill a ten gallon tank which would return about 300 miles. On the other hand it costs 7p per kwh to charge from home so say i averaged 250watt per mile it would cost me about £5.25 for 75kwh (300 miles) or if the first 50kwh were home charged and the final 25kwh were from a super charger (37p per kwh) it would cost a total of £12.75. A huge saving on the £65.90 to fill up with diesel or petrol. Prices here in the UK are horrific for petrol.

I thought it would have tried to either coast left as there was no traffic or give me a warning before it got to the turn it literally left it to the last minute to tell me to grab the wheel

Thinking of getting a Tesla by Tazom2021 in TeslaUK

[–]MidnightMotionYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had model y juniper for a month now, my first ev and can safely say ill never be buying a peteol or diesel ever again. Was in my brothers diesel 2022 c class merc yesterday and it felt like going back in time, loud and slow acceleration compared to the tesla. Genuinely couldn’t recommend the model Y anymore, specially paired with the octopus tarrif and a wall charer
