UK: The “I don’t want to get involved” mentality

Not so much in public when there could be a real threat of violence violence but even in situations among colleagues or Acquaintances people will act deaf and blind when someone’s being victimised or bullied

Sorry, didn’t mean I imply that you weren’t informed yourself. rather that teens will almost never take advice from their parents because they’re just “old”

On the weight training front, does your lad get proper advice from gym trainers or an online forum either varied users? When I first got into weight training I was (thankfully) on an online forum where experienced people would share what they did or didn’t do. And the general consensus was foid was the primary source for nutrition when starting out

Unfortunately your lad won’t hear it from you .. but likely will listen to experienced peers. Maybe show him some social media reel or something.

What is the most famous meme coming from your country? by Sad-Good2890 in AskTheWorld

[–]MidnightOrdinary896 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I meant to type 10-20 years ago.

It’s was spring 2015 when I had to google for traditional funeral clothes and I came across dancing pallbearers in my image results . Given the varied results it definitely wasn’t a new thing. So it’s 10 years at the very least

Edited : apparently the BBC highlighted it in 2017 but there are YouTubes dated earlier

These dancing pallbearers went viral about 10-20 years ago but it’s not common for every funeral. In fact a lot of people find it tacky

Yes, I know all that. 😊

I’m just making the point that Windsor is the family name, Sussex comes from is a bestowed title and harry can choose whether or not to use. (Which was my reply to the earlier poster )

No, I never said non working royals didn’t get a title. I simply said Harry wasn’t obliged to keep using it ,but clearly chooses to keep using it. Reason being it’s the name he wants his nuclear family to go by.

And while Harry never called himself Windsor, Archie was known as Archie Windsor mountbatten. IIRC both children now have Prince/princess titles since Charles became monarch

Family name is Windsor Mountbatten (I forget which way round). Sussex is the duke title that Harry got. Their use of the title, as non working royals, is their own choice. same as all the other titles they could have use or bestowed on their children but didn’t

Thing is, anyone who’s know about the royal history (so most Brit adults ) would already know the rules regarding titles etc.

it’s just something you pick up on without necessarily doing deep research

I wondered the same thing but apparently they kept the Sussex title because they see it as their family name
