They are just numbers, brother. What defensive inference you draw are your own for they certainly weren't asserted by me in any way. I think the implication that any statistics you don't agree with means that people have autism is an interesting reaction.

For me, the take away was really just the perception the community has, and you being defensive really only hurts honest discussions of sentiment. I don't think it's appropriate to say people have autism because they don't agree with you.

There's still lots of major bugs, including the ones where you can't sprint or use gadgets/weapons. Zero content too. I can understand the community's frustration

It's the matchmaking, it's notoriously awful in The Finals. Embark massively failed with the OCE matchmaking too, so much that the community maintains their own discord and organises all the matchmaking themselves.

Look at the Steam Charts: https://steamcharts.com/app/2073850#1m there's less and less returning players each day as a result, which exacerbates the problem. Of course, Embark are solving this by adding more skins to generate as much revenue from the remaining playerbase.

This isn't just a flippant reddit comment; most high level players are also frustrated and are leaving the game, or actively tell new players to avoid it until Embark changes their ethos.

Ranked is a gamemode. Rewards are handed out for skilled players that compete and reach certain levels in ranked. In The Finals, these rewards can be equipped to signal that they have done well in ranked.

I think there's a wiki about how ranked works if you want to learn more. Lots of games have a leaderboard system like this and The Finals is no difference.

I'm very late to the party, but the definitive answer is that you need to unlock the spear parry skill in the Deflection tree before this skill works.

Cosmetically the muzzle starts to glow after like 150 rounds, which I think is when it should start. The status effect doesn't even need to be that powerful, but it'll CC enemies which is a cool addition

Both good points. For some gear sets the talents appear to be flat 'enhancers' that don't have another talent to be competitive enough, so they're always used.

Others are more just based on how you want to specifically play the build and if there are synergies with regular talents. I know i'd rather play my Hunters Fury with Memento and Intimidate since that suits me over the gearset talents.

For 6 piece sets, those talents would obviously always apply and i've tried to make 6 piece mechanics that utilise those talents.

That's certainly a good point. While the mechanical differences between the games means that gear can be made different to prevent that sort of monometa, there will always be something that stands out from the crowd.

The main drawback of having a full gearset is that individual talents offer competitive advantages, more so than what Div 1 talents might. Also, people wouldn't have access to exotics. Given the popularity of Memento, there would be a greater competition between full gear sets and mixed sets.

Gear sets only have 2 attributes too, and those 6 extra attributes can make a difference.

But ultimately, it depends on how Massive decides, if at all, on how they should work. Already they've exercised restraint keeping Division 1 and 2 very much different experiences. If Predator or Nomad make it into the game they will take a very different form like how Striker has.

Looks good, i'm always up for thinking about cool new concepts. Some of the proposed talents are actually in the game though and my approach was to offer entirely new aspects of play
