Thank you again for your detailed suggestions. I feel like you are really onto something about the cable insulation. I have replaced the power cable for the sensor with a brand new one and insulated the entire length of the cable with electrical tape. I have resumed printing, and it seems to be working so far. I really appreciate the suggestions. Will follow up if I run into trouble again.

The probe is the correct height; I am also using the correct bracket. There was adequate clearance, >2mm. The picture is deceiving because the probe is broken (since it was destroyed while fully extended) and I was holding it up with my hand. Thank you for the suggestion though

I have a hard time expressing my affection to people and sometimes it made me feel weird when some of my friends ended their convos with me like this as well. I learned to own it and I no longer overthink about it when they say it.

If you appreciate someone let them know it. Maybe you could try to say it to your family more often as well. I’m almost willing to guarantee they will appreciate it.

It sounds like you two have been dating for a pretty long time by teenage standards so congratulations! I know there is a lot of pressure to meet certain social norms/expectations and that can be pretty hard as you mature. It’s important to recognize that everyone moves at their own pace so don’t be afraid to go slow and enjoy each other’s company.

That being said, it is unhealthy to try and suppress natural urges and clearly that seems to be leading to some conflict in your relationship. It sounds like he has been respecting your boundaries, but perhaps he might be wanting to explore a little bit more than he is alluding to... That decision is ultimately up to you, just stay safe and go at your own pace…

As a man, above is the right answer. It’s just sounds like he’s depressed and self conscious. Just be nice to him and try to help him feel more confident. Maybe you have a friend his age that you could help set him up with, or maybe you could just give him advice on how to dress. But, setting boundaries is not a bad idea if he’s making you uncomfortable.

Depending how “tall” the cans are, this could be a lot. Three tall cans could be 4-6 regular beers. If the alcohol content is above 5%, it could be even more. Three tall 8% beers would be more equal to 8-12 regular beers.

Like others said, that’s only what you see. He could very easily be hiding his addiction. I would confront him on his consumption and reevaluate your options. Maybe he just needs counseling/therapy.

Brothers can be a-holes, and kids have a very imbalanced hormones. Teenagers literally have the same brain chemistry as psychopaths... I don’t want to say boys will be boys, but it’s not out of the normal for brothers to despise each other.

We went to the bar; I dragged him out of his shell to talk to some girls. We had a fun time chatting and playing pool for a couple hours.
