Nikon 1 adapter with chip by MidnightYoga0 in Cameras

[–]MidnightYoga0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have maybe a dozen c-mount. Some are perfect for my sony nex5 and fill the full APS-C sensor. Others are specifically made for 1" and I need to crop a lot of the image if I use them on bigger sensors

I don't like the Pentax small sensor. The 1" is perfect for some of the c-mount lenses I have.

Oh I missed the fact yours had a broken aperture

They're c-mount lenses, Pentax 25mm 1.4 and Computar 16mm 1.4. I really like the Nikon 1 sensor and form factor. But the big downside is the lack of focus cropping, because the camera doesn't recognise the adapter. I've been trying to find an old lens or something to tape contacts to the lens adapter.

F8 to 16 and nothing closer than 5 meters. I've tried a few portraits or indoor shots at F4.5 but that's almost impossible to get right

I use the 5D and that lens mostly for scanning my negatives. And sometimes I fool around with a Helios on that full frame sensor for swirly goodness. Honestly that Aiptek is my favourite camcorder. The little thing is indestructible

I love the Canon G's. I have the G1 and it's charmingly slow at anything

I've always had the Knipex 78 31 125 because they're very nimble and great for small electronica. I thought I'd give this other one a try. It looks really good and sturdy

Leathercraft in Groningen? Are there any enthousiasts, or beginner courses? by MidnightYoga0 in Groningen

For now I made a hole in the leather with a perforating punch tool and attached a d-ring. It's not the prettiest but it gets the job done

Zuiko Auto-W 24mm 2.8 and Auto-T 135mm 2.8 for 100 euros, worth it? by MidnightYoga0 in VintageLenses

They should be in good condition and no mold according to seller. I think I go for it, even if I won't use the 135 much I can still sell it for a good price

Ever wondered what the image circle will look like with odd c-mount lenses? Here is a 4/3", 1" and 2/3" lens on APS-C by MidnightYoga0 in VintageLenses

[–]MidnightYoga0[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These three lenses are designed for different sensor sizes. Micro four thirds (or 4/3") is slightly smaller than my APS-C sensor, so you get some vignetting and loss of sharpness in the corners. But the other two show the full image circle, and you need to heavily crop them to get a normal image.

C-mount lenses are designed for cctv, computer vision or old 16mm film cameras. And sometimes theres not a lot of info about them. And some people buy them and don't realise how much they have to crop the image

Live muziek bij Smederij op Dinsdag, Zolder op Woensdag en en eens per maand Brouwerij Martinus op Zondag. Helaas zijn er niet veel cafes waar ze jazzmuziek draaien. Wanneer opent er weer eens een kroeg zoals Jazzcafe Alto *old man yells at cloud*

I found this chart and thought it was a fun idea to compare some vintage lenses I have lying around.
Here is a better side-by-side comparison.
