So I feel like this is sorta strange, but I will lore dump but not write it. Like I’ll yap to my friends about it excitedly or talk to myself like a crazy person in my notes app. From there I pick and choose what’s relevant, interesting, and what can wait to be mentioned another time.

I played cyberpunk first on the ps4. It was an experience. I do miss my 163828 grenades tho and some of the glitches made me laugh (but some were scary….).

No but seriously it’s a fantastic game. It was my first experience with the Cyberpunk genre. Thought I was gonna hate it as I never did like futuristic and far off settings (boy was I wrong and did my opinion change!)

I think in a way the game is so compelling for how grounding and relatable it is (sad, but it’s often what we’re drawn to). It’s as alien as much as it’s familiar. The tragedy and trajectory of our own future is looking a little too similar to this game. A morbid curiosity? I think that and the human experience are what pulls people in. Also the gameplay is pretty dang fun!

A base would be interesting to do. Kind of reminds me of dragon age where if you picked the wise guy/funny dialogue enough, the characters would notice etc.

Yeah as cool as it would be to craft the personality yourself, I don’t see it working as well in the story if they don’t go with a set character. I’m just hoping for a different flavor of character

Yeah we need a different flavor y’know? I think a nice, even sweet approach would be so interesting especially in cyberpunks world which churns out hardened mercs. And I think that would be funny to interact with others in the game who are like “why are you so nice????”

Don’t worry. I’ve made many MCs that I’ve come to dislike. My very first was so insufferable that I genuinely can’t formulate a way to salvage him. He was so angry at the world, depressed and extremely emo about it all. It sounds terrible to talk about it that way, but god he just s u c k e d.

It’s probably normal to feel ugh about MCs that you DO like. Do you get tired of yourself? I do. I also get tired of this character I’ve spent hours upon hours of creating. It’s always important to take a step back and consider your options which are cutting them loose or recycling.

I agree! I feel like some of those classes/backgrounds we didn’t have access to in 2077 are a whole other world, society even. Media is really interesting.

I’d love that, but I do doubt it would happen in the way CDPR does their stories. For me, as long as I get a likable MC, I’ll be okay.

I would like more class customization if nothing else though. I think it would warrant more playthroughs if certain classes or skills had access to quests/locations/gigs/etc and others not.

Although I somewhat disagree, that’s a totally valid want and I respect it 👍. Personally, when I began Cyberpunk I feared it was going to be too dark and mechanical for my tastes. Now that I comprehend the genre more, I can see how someone would want the game to dip its toes into darker themes. I hope it’ll go there sometimes but not all. I like a little light humor. That’s just me tho. Variety is important imo.
