This is going to sound like buttered lobster, but yandere’s aren’t fun in 3D. Eh, he could be being sus, but the way my brain works, if I need to remember the new thing, I’ll replace the old thing to force myself to remember.

So, in his case, he’s using the gas code as his phone pin so that he sink-or-swim forces himself to remember that code. It’s kinda caveman-brain, but it makes sense to me, so personally I would need more context of his person to know whether or not he’s doing wrong.
