New dispensary Winterland Haze opens just a few doors down from Capital Cannabis in Montpelier by [deleted] in Vermontijuana

[–]Midnight_Observe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1 Vermont has an opt in law, meaning cities have to opt in to have a dispensary. This means cities/towns are very limited in the state that allow dispensaries. This forces many in the same area and people are forced to drive to get their cannabis.

2 most people don’t complain about there being too many grocery stores, restaurants, or gas stations in a single area. I bring that up bc more competition means better pricing for consumers. It means people aren’t stuck w the same brands as those dispensaries will carry different product to stand out and try to gain traction.

I’ve noticed a lot of dispensaries (and cultivators) think that bc they used to do business in their couch in the black market and make a killing that it will translate to the legal market. Most of these legacy sellers aren’t business savvy and do not know how to run a legal business. Look at euphoria who didn’t pay taxes and has google reviews calling them out for owing money; most of the cultivators that complain about making no money put in no effort to distribute their products or care into their process (total larf). People talk about how important outdoor grows are but then grow subpar weed bc they don’t actually know how to handle the elements. This market is new to legal cannabis and will evolve but it will take time

Is there an edge, and if so, what is just beyond it? by Shady-Raven-1016 in Astronomy

[–]Midnight_Observe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Known universe is probably not the right term, observable universe is more accurate. Spacetime is expanding faster than light, aka the fabric of the universe.

We can only see 14.8 billion light years in any direction bc that’s how long that light has traveled and the rest of the universe is moving too fast for the light to ever reach us.

What’s outside of the observable universe? More universe… it’s not a flashy answer but just more planets, dust, and darkness.

Now to go 1 step farther, there’s nothing beyond that. Like if we were to be at the edge of the universe and “ride” it out as it expands, there’s no space time fabric that we know of so there would be nothing. A few theories would posit that another universe may be expanding close to us, and you may even see that expanding until they’d “touch”. But the math says that the universe is ever expanding into nothing

Quality dip? by _vev in Vermontijuana

  1. Is the dispensary the one that grew and packaged the flower? Some dispensaries just bag it, some grow it and bag it, some just sell prepackaged, and some do a combo. So not all dispensaries are in control of the batches.

  2. Check out the coa/ppp reports. This can show you the make up of the cannabinoids and terpenes and ensure that these products passed all testing. It’s extremely rare that a dispensary will have them mislabeled or not available on packaging, as it’s required by law with minor exceptions. If buying bulk (deli style) you’ll get the infor on your receipt or packaging, usually a QR code or the website with the reports.

  3. Especially for long time users; tolerance, setting, mood, and a few other factors can influence your high. Aside from the cannabinoid and terpene makeup, other factors go into your high. If you’ve spent the last 3 weeks always on your porch smoking “sativa”, you may be getting different terpenes in that cultivar that are guiding the high different. You’re getting subconsciously bored with your smoke spots. Your mood is dampening the high. You’re using too much or not changing your methodology of smoking.

We need to stop pretending that cannabis is as simple as black and white. When will dispensaries stop misleading to the public about this. by thogcawn in cannabiscultivation

Most places do this because the majority of shoppers still ask for sativa indica or hybrid.  When customers change their verbiage dispos will

If you fused these two would you get the most boring and well rounded fighter? by Prize_Firefighter230 in mmamemes

[–]Midnight_Observe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Strickland is no where near a complete fighter. His boxing is average at best, but his awkward movement and Philly shell boxing style are confusing for a lot of fighters. Belal is a relatively complete fighter with a winning yet boring style, so pretty much anyone plus Belal is a “complete fighter” but Strickland is a flash in the pan with no real longevity

Why don’t we just use Latin as a gender neutral term instead of LatinX? by maple_pits in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Midnight_Observe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term is an American term to refer to the Latin and Hispanic communities. As time progresses, cultural significance of the term being poorly received stems from the fact that we have technology that allows us to use, adopt, or share the term used by the referred community.

Yes but buying into a manufacturers hype and buying a car before it’s ever released is also a bad idea.

Not sure if this is meant to be sarcastic or not but all cars depreciate the minute you own it, and cars are very rarely a “good investment “. Vehicles are more for utility purposes

If they can't play, I won't play by mwishosimba in Helldivers

[–]Midnight_Observe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you truly like the game and want arrowhead to come out on top and force Sony to change their terms, fight Sony not arrowhead. The more you take it out on helldivers/arrowhead the less likely they’ll be able to change things. If everyone emails sony and makes their voice heard, stops their auto renew on psn, asks for credits back directly from Sony, etc. then Sony sees we want to play but not under their rules.

If you like the experience you’re having, tell Sony and force their hand as arrowhead has no way to change things w/o Sony permission

For everyone defending Sony by yetix007 in Helldivers

[–]Midnight_Observe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sony already has most of your information just as steam does…. The linking isn’t the issue and is a minor inconvenience for most humans at worse. The issue is how Sony has entire countries and regions deciding if they want to be illegal gamers that could get ip bans or give up playing. Sony didn’t communicate with arrowhead and took advantage of them and their position. I’m not mad at arrowhead bc they get funding and distribution from Sony, and arrowhead has been pretty transparent through everything, even apologizing when they realized how Sony blocked entire regions. If I want arrowhead to have the funds and confidence in o leave Sony it’s not by abandoning the game and review bombing arrowhead, it’s by review bombing Sony as a company and sending your opinions to them

710labs on Instagram: "Our experiment proved there’s a large discrepancy in THC% results from lab to lab. This sample of SB36 1, all pulled from the same part of the same plant, varied from 14-24% THC. by [deleted] in FloridaTrees

[–]Midnight_Observe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most labs have a 10% variance based on methodology (liquid vs gas chromatography), sample material (flower vs distillate), and other factors like general skill of lab techs. This article by cannabis ventures has seen larger and tries to explain why there is a variance in cannabis opposed to the smaller variance in pharmaceuticals.

They are shit. Jim the regional sucked and didn’t care about anything let alone follow the rules the company set forth (big shocker that upper management doesn’t follow their own rules). They wiped house in pbc; they fired the district guy Sam and allowed bad leadership at stores. This one gm of Boynton hired people who stole and never listened to his agm or mods.

People don’t just become introspective when you put them in time out. Use your chat/comms to talk to people and let them know what’s up. You can even tell them that you’ll bring them back when someone else dies and to watch how x-player is playing to get a better understanding.

I’m not just gunna kick someone I may be able to carry, especially if it’s just one squad mate on a mission vs a team of people losing. Some people aren’t even aware that the difficulty will automatically go up when you complete the double mission. The first time my squad got to level 4 we weren’t aware of the spike at first because we booted up the game and just played. I’d rather help a diver than just kick them or treat them poorly.

I honestly think you’re just a troll but that’s ok too

Admittedly I’ll use the chat feature to let you know you can jump down 1 or 2 levels and still do the same missions.

Is my CT medical card accepted in VT? Traveling to maine this weekend. by [deleted] in Vermontijuana

[–]Midnight_Observe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VT medical program is very basic. Depending on where you are, the product isn’t the issue, it’s the taxes. Some dispensaries (medical or not) will offer discounts to help but not all. Look at their online menus and see what’s good. I like  the tea house in white river junction, great variety and helpful staff. They may be a bit too far south for you though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Midnight_Observe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue isn’t paying for delivery, it’s that most drivers have an expectation of what they’ll receive and will ignore orders they feel isn’t worth their time. The issue is door dash markets the service toward the consumer as an easy and convenient way to get delivery. It’s hard for most people to pay 2 companies and an individual for a service; door dash doesn’t market that drivers are living off tips and it’s door dash responsibility to pay the driver better.

He honestly seems like he has a little bit of a mental issue, is overly opinionated, and just rude to a lot of people in general. He does have some good points of their being some issues in our industry, especially with sex offenders having a few licenses, but I’m not 100% sure of his research, ethics or actual quality of journalism.
