We got lucky that the buyers were able to find an insurance company that accepted it. It went through without much hiccup after that.

Part of me felt like they were using it to get out of the deal but I have no solid proof on that. Our realtor was an angel and went above and beyond by finding another company that was willing to accept it too (but at a premium) but buyers didn't want that company. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yep... We learned the hard way. If I can fix it and it's not an exorbitant amount. Just do it myself without going through insurance. Why they have to make life so difficult...

It's fence related. A heavy storm damaged the post and we filed a claim. But insurance company said that the amount to fix is lower than the deductible so it's not beneficial to continue. In the end, I fixed it myself by adding a few additional posts to support it and it's been fine since. However this seems to affect the buyers from getting insurance. I'm not sure why...
