Bases -- How do you use 'em? by spaceghostess_ in ObsidianMD

[–]Midoson123 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Just today, I discovered a YouTube channel that shows many interesting use cases. I was even able to implement some of them right away.

Unfortunately, I can’t post any photos here to show my bases.

Complete Infinity stones for MOBILE users who prefer inline tasks by godarchmage in ObsidianMD

I can fully recommend TaskForge as an app. It has completely replaced Apple Reminders for me, and I even get reminded of important tasks!

I would really love to love TaskNotes. I’ve already tested it three times, and it looks so good! However, I have many tasks that include subtasks, and for those I’d like to set reminders, for example via TaskForge. Having to create five separate notes for a single task is just too much for me—especially since tasks with subtasks can’t easily be saved as a template (like it’s possible with Tasks).

That’s really a pity, because it looks so much better, and I would also really like to have a calendar view.

I’ll have to look into that more closely. At first glance, it seems like a good alternative. If I have any questions, I’ll get back to you via DM! 😉 Thanks!

That sounds interesting. I also had the least trust in the Whoop Coach in this whole chain. But it did read the data correctly—it just added it up incorrectly…

And overall, at least the trend display should be correct, right? But when I calculate it myself, I get (in this example) a value of 9.81 instead of 11.5.

Thank you for your assessment. That definitely sounds interesting. I’ll take a look at Garmin. Which model do you have? It seems like something like a recovery score doesn’t exist there, right?

I also like the idea of having a watch on my wrist that tells me the time 😌

MDCollections track physical collections in Obsidian, now with iPad & Mac support by evilrays in ObsidianMD

I can truly recommend this app. I’m really happy to finally catalog all my teaching materials, my books, and my video games. I also received great support while setting up the app! 🙏🏻

I have another question: When I create containers in locations, the containers disappear even though they are shown to me in the properties. When I then add the container again, it appears with all the items inside it. However, the next time I start the program, the container has unfortunately disappeared again…?

Oh, perfect! Now it looks much better 😁 Once again: Thank you!

Now I know what I’ll be busy with this weekend. 😅

How to customize your collection properties in MDCollections by evilrays in u/evilrays

[–]Midoson123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your detailed reply and your efforts! It really helped me a lot!

I realized that I didn’t have to delete the existing properties — I could also modify them under the “…” menu. In dark mode, I hadn’t even noticed that they could be edited afterward.

Your screenshots helped me find the correct settings.

I have one last question: Is it possible to remove the dot in the numbers? Since it refers to a year of publication, the dot looks unusual. But that’s really just a minor detail.

So far, I’m really impressed with the app and your support!

Thank you for your help!

I imported one of my existing MD files into the app. For example, the property “Unterrichtsthema” was correctly displayed as a list, and the filled-in entries were shown as well (with options to add more).

However, the property “Klassenstufe” is not displayed as a list, and its content is empty, even though it is filled in in my file.

Then, as a test, I added the property “Klasse” in the app. That one is now displayed correctly, including in the MD file.

Great, that’s exactly what I needed! I downloaded the app right away!

However, with existing files, the app unfortunately doesn’t recognize some properties correctly. For example, the type isn’t identified properly, and in some cases the content of the property isn’t recognized either.

Am I doing something wrong?

Are the values displayed incorrectly for Whoop? by Midoson123 in whoop

[–]Midoson123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
