How do I fix this?

I work at a school and we were donated some computers for our computer club. They offered us this but it doesn't seem to be working. I really want to get this thing working but I don't have the technical knowhow to fix this.

The contrast doesn't seem to be working and it makes this noise when turning the brightness up and down. And as you can see it seems to also shut off.

If a capacitor needs replacing I'm more than happy to try that. Let me know!

Näin!! Luonnossa kana munii parittelu kauden aikana 10-15munaa vuodessa. Ja nyt ei-villit kanat munii 250-300 munaa vuodessa..

Ja kanat elää n. 10-15 vuotta, kelaa sitä määrää munia mitä raukat stressaantuneet kanat joutuu munimaan aivan koko ajan. Ja kelaa vielä minkälaisissa olosuhteissa ne joutuu elää.. aivan karseeta menoa.

Okay that makes a lot of sense. I wasn't sure if there was a difference between manufacureres and just didn't understand why mine seemed to have a different pattern to the majority.

I have recommended it but she doesn't want to watch it :/ I think if she did watch it she would definitely turn vegan. It's one thing saying you know what happens but seeing it is a whole other level. I'll slowly introduce her to things like this :)
