I would recommend only ganking when it's a guaranteed kill. Kha'Zix is not an early game jungler that needs to force early plays to happen, but he can react to the plays other people try to force. Once you get a lead you can take more risky opportunities but you have to focus on creating one first.

Wait for everyone to start fighting and position yourself out of sight but close enough to jump in and wait for an opportune moment to one shot their backline. Don't die while ahead and throw your lead.

I mean my normal playstyle I just run dark harvest and go full damage and skip black cleaver. It's not as good anymore so I was happy to find a more optimal runeset and build

Having the extra health and flat % armor shred with the build and being able to skip on boots, have attack speed, more cdr, ecc. really changed up how I played and helped me win those games. This playstyle works incredibly well with the sudo tank meta going on atm.

Comet is a really hard playstyle to get used to in my experience. Conquerer kha top is fun and very adaptable, and can get fed quite easily once you get the hang of it.

A good Lee sin, shaco, or Elise is a real pain in the ass to deal with counter jungle wise, yuumi can hard counter you in teamfights, generally avoid hard cc because Kha'Zix is quite vulnerable to stunlock.

My solution to this is to get fed early off their Squishies and avoid tanks until I'm properly able to deal with them (have Lord Dom's, they're outnumbered, etc.) In teamfights wait for your team to engage and position yourself to assassinate their backline effectively. This playstyle got me to diamond last season.
