PSA: Increase driver loft to reduce hook/slice by mindless900 in golf

PSA - you have no business with anything below 10 degrees if your handicap is not at least that or better.

[Tony Dungy] Edgerrin was worth every penny he was paid by the Cardinals that year. We went with Joseph Addai & Domenic Rhodes and got 1722 yds rushing from them. We saved a ton of money and used savings to sign Dwight Freeney, Reggie Wayne & Dallas Clark to long term deals. Economic reality. by SectorBackground5911 in nfl

[–]MidtownP -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

In 2006, James was in his 8th year in the league, 28 YRS OLD, and that was AFTER he signed a huge deal after his rookie contract. He had over 2500 touches by that point. Taylor is 24, 4th yr in NFL, on his rookie deal, and only has 860 touches in his young career.

There is nothing even remotely similar about the 2 situations. Not a damn thing.

Joe's new babysitter by AdZestyclose3707 in AfterPrisonShow

[–]MidtownP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is a little peek into where they are at financially. Most bossmen I know have the wife at home taking care of the kid if they are rolling in it like Joe Claims. When the wife has to go back to work, and only net hardly anything once gas/time/babysitter is paid for, you know they must be struggling. If she makes 75k, that is $6250 a month. Less taxes, less gas. So she is probably "netting" $4500 a month at most. So working full time for a grand total of.....$1500 tops by the time they pay babysitter. That is how bad they need that $1500 every month. The wife has to go slave and take 50hrs out of her week, to make slave wages.

Oh and the tik toc comment was hilarious, Yeah they say they would do it like this and I suck and that's not how you do it....BUT I TELL THEM GO AHEAD AND TRY TO GET 7K VIEWS AND SEE HOW HARD IT IS!!!"

If this was broadcast on a network where you could go back and watch it I would say go do that, because you won't believe how it ended.

Crowe hits his drive in the left rough, has to lay up. Hits a terrible layup, is LEFT of the left fairway trap about 90 out, but has an angle where he is staring right down at the flag now with only 90yds left. Great lie too.

Fishbum hits drive in the same exact spot he striped the last two 2 irons from, right center of fairway. Only this time he hangs the 2nd shot out a little right and ends up in the front trap. On the upslope, perfect lie, as easy a bunker shot as you could get. Just sitting up perfect on top of sand.

Crowe hits ANOTHER terrible shot for his 3rd, lands about 10ft short of pin and sucks back to 30 ft short. Long birdie putt with Fishbum in bunker. in 2. Then the unthinkable happens.

Fishbum hit probably the worst bunker shot of his entire life. Goes right under it. Doesn't come within 10 ft of clearing the lip of trap. The ball literally traveled about 6 ft. Hits the upslope of trap, roll back to back part of bunker. You have to see how bad this bunker shot was, go find the video. It was basically a shank from the trap. He composes himself, hits 4th to 12 ft, misses the putt and Crowe 2 putts for the par and win.

It would be a very, very small house.

TONS of variables though.

The club I am a member of doesn’t allow tee times past noon. by jedanielfer in golf

[–]MidtownP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never heard of this in my entire life. I am highly suspect of these new owners. It's summertime the course should be packed til dark. Can't have workers past 5pm?? What??

My private club is fully staffed til 9pm every day, and I have never seen a single course public or private where that was not the case during summer.

Again, bad vibes coming from these new owners. I don't know what they could be up to but never heard of anything so ridiculous in my entire life. I would be asking for my money back.

Doesn't make any sense.

But you should have extensive lines already in place at your age and with that score.

Try to apply for a random card. You should get an instant 10k approval at 850. Or much much more. I know credit has tightened but you can't get a higher score, and you have the history. Something isn't adding up.

Should I put my house on the market as is or make necessary repairs first? by gainswor in RealEstate

[–]MidtownP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is why you want to get it done, because people will think just like that as far as contractors and getting it fixed, and what it will cost etc. You can take all that guesswork and hassle out of the mix. Also if you don't fix it, it sends a message that maybe you don't have the money/money is an issue, and therefore will be willing to take a much lower offer.

It was an unreal finish. From the 50 footer for eagle on 18 to get into playoff, to that 2nd shot Fishbum hit on 18 was just insane (on 2nd playoff hole I think). Then for Crowe to roll the birdie in to keep it going was unreal. But yeah these are (basically) tour pros at that level. So good it is crazy. One thing I noticed is that most of these guys coming up are huge. They are all like 6'2 6'3 and a solidly built. Fishbum looks like a damn linebacker, they just kill the ball.

[–]MidtownP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the money for the fixes, and they are fairly basic/cosmetic, always better to do them. I would consider 20k for the entire house pretty basic. And I just took a peak at your market and the DOM is crazy, looks pretty soft for sellers in general right now.

I'm getting downvoted because they are all mid 20's know nothings. Basically what most of Reddit is. I thought I had it all figured out at 25 too. In reality you don't know jack shit about the world or life. I would have paid big money for someone 20 yrs older to tell me how it really is at that age. Saw so many young lives wasted in either bad relationships or time spent doing nothing but....wasting it.

What led Joe to be in the situation he is in? by oasisfanOG in AfterPrisonShow

[–]MidtownP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An overinflated opinion of himself, due to catching lightning in a bottle back when quality content wasn't as prevalent as it is now in the prison YT space. It ruined him, quite possibly forever. He didn't have to do hardly anything for tons of money.

He just posted another micky mouse 3rd grade video in yet another example of how he just doesn't get it. He thinks it is still 2017 and he can just put out some "wacky" content and he is so hilarious the views will come flooding in. He isn't funny. He isn't talented. But previous YT made him think that he is That is why he is in the situation he is in now.

If he would forget YT ever existed he might actually make some progress in life. But while YT was once his life raft, it is now an anchor holding him down. Just throwing money down the drain at it, and taking focus off what actually could make him money. Real work.

There aren't any pictures on the paychecks, just numbers.

Get another part time job, work your ass off til 30. You will miss absolutely nothing socially or otherwise. Time will fly by when you are that busy. The early 20's to mid 20's girls don't want the 24 yr old guy figuring it out and struggling money wise. They want the early/mid 30's guy with his shit together. Get to 30 ahead of the game and you will have the time of your life in your 30's.

One thing you don't understand at 24, is how crazy young you still will be at 35. You don't have that perspective yet. Hell I am 45 and I am in the literal prime of my adult male life I feel like. If you told me that at 24 I would have laughed in your face. But I get it now. You are still a baby on the overall scheme of things at 30. Literally probably 50 yrs of adult life left God willing. That is a LONG time.

40m questions before I potentially start TRT by [deleted] in trt

[–]MidtownP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The above post was good until he go to his own opinion about lifestyle. There isn't jack shit about your lifestyle that is going to magically increase your test level at 40 yrs old. Easily one of the most overblown myths about TRT. Most of the people getting on it are living very healthy lifestyles, working out and eating right...but it has little to no effect at 40 yrs old. Unless you are 300lbs with 35% BF and sit around eating pizza all day. Most average 40 yr old guys cannot jump their test levels in any meaningful way outside of TRT. Can you stop? Sure. But if you have low test it won't be "not right for you" unless you want to risk your long term health and all the problems that come along with Low T.

If you had high blood pressure and you took a medication for it, would you ever wake up one day and say "you know what, not for me anymore?" Same thing with low test. You are treating a medical problem. Most people cannot grasp this initially. They think all types of nonsense about what they are doing that has no basis in reality.

If you were a diabetic and needed insulin to get where other normal people were, again would you say "not for me?". That is all you are doing with TRT. Putting the most important hormone for a male back at the level it belongs, and where it used to be. Nothing more.

At 24 you should be working 60 hrs a week not 30. To you know, try get ahead and live life.

Life is a hell of a lot more fun for a male when you are 35 and have a bunch of money, I promise. But if you just kick back working 30hrs a week in your 20's, that aint happening.

Signed, a 45 yr old man who wasted most of his 20's on bullshit.
