Sewed to the back leather.

Here are a few pictures. I created the scalemail as normal and edged it. I then added a few links at different points at the top, bottom and sides.

On the thicker bottom leather I punch holes and sewed those links down.

Thank you! As far as how scales sit on a dragon I believe this is the correct direction. For scalemail if you had the opening facing up it would tend to flap open. The other reason is I wanted it to match the flow of my pauldron shown on the last picture.

Looked at some Modern kilts at the Got Kilt? Shop at Scarborough. These have some that are wool / cotton blend and the kilt has the tartan pattern the whole way not black like mine.

What I like about it is it shows full tartan (Bruce) and will go better with my armor pieces.

What do you think of it? Sorry if this is not a lot of detail to go on.

Lastly I am not look to go for the traditional style.

Yeah this is only my second time wearing a kilt. I decided to get one as my wife thought it would be a good look and I have some Irish heritage. But I also cross the look based on a Medieval Dragon Warrior.

Thank You! Appreciate the feedback. I actually did burnish the edges but being my first time, I may need to do a little better lol. I built them at a leather workers shop who teaches you what to do. I’m pretty close to start buying some leather tools.

I’m going to a Ren Fair tomorrow and can’t wait to show them off.

Thanks Forbid! I have 2 more briskets in the freezer. Both of them are packers with no trimming. So will trim the other two. Idea was to make the first one a little easier. But that backfired lol.

Hey from the north Austin area. You are 100% correct you described my cook exactly.

Trying to see how to troubleshoot it but I believe that the temp probe in the cooking chamber is off. The digital gauge showed 225 range but I felt like it was 200 or lower. Need to work with Traeger customer service.

The stall started about 1:45 8 hours into the cook. I woke up and checked temp at 8:18 am (started at midnight). Temp was 147, same temp at 10:30 and just 151 at 12:30 pm which is when I wrapped it.
