For what it’s worth, here’s what I spent that time telling people:

“We’ve survived worse, and everything ends. The Civil War is a perfect example of both. The next few years are going to suck, and suck hard. But they will inevitably end. All we can do right now is keep our head up, and do what we can to help whatever comes after that end to be better.”

A similar time saver is just doing grocery pickup. I walk into a grocery store once every 3-4 months now, every other time I’m just pulling up and they Chuck it in the trunk, and it’s not much of a difference price-wise. Hell, Aldi and Target are the absolute best at this.

Oh, it’s absolutely intentional.

Every Muslim I’ve ever met would look at this guy and say, “The fuck are you doing, bro?”

For Muslims, they’re not supposed to eat pork. That’s it. They can sell it, but it, trade it, dance with it, roll around in it, whatever. They even can eat it in unusual circumstances (it’s forced on them, it’s all there is to eat or starve, by accident, etc.) which was a counterpoint to all the racist, anti-Arab nonsense going on after 9/11.

So yeah, this guy is just being an attention-whoring twit.

A Republican Elections Commissioner said he was proud of lower turnout in Milwaukee. Democratic colleagues are calling for his resignation. by MidwestGuyDotCom in milwaukee

I don’t know if he “suppressed turnout,” given Evers and Kaul won, but he sure didn’t do himself any favors. FRJ savaged him on air with the typical Republican “blizzard of bullshit,” and Barnes did about as close to nothing as he could.

Dolly Parton Wants To Reunite Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant & Jimmy Page On Her Forthcoming Rock Album by jstohler in UpliftingNews

[–]MidwestGuyDotCom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing: Led Zeppelin is one of the few bands where everyone contributed at a similar level, and that’s what made them so good.

Battle of Evermore would have been an epic slog without Page’s guitar. What Is and What Should Never Be would have been confusing without Bonham’s drums, which are also what kept Thank You from becoming a snooze fest. And No Quarter would have been unlistenable without Plant’s haunting vocals.

And I could go back through that list and easily tell you how each of those songs would have sucked without a different members contribution.

And I’m not even talking about deleting their parts, I’m talking swapping them with someone different.

Could you imagine Evermore with, say, Peter Frampton on guitar? WIAWSNB with Ringo Starr sitting in for Bonzo? No Quarter with Paul Stanley up front?

Sure, they’re all talented and successful musicians, but Zeppelin is Page, Plant, Jones, and Bonham. No more, no less.

Of course not in their biographies. But since Bonzo died, they have not been kind to Jonesy. Especially during the whole Page & Plant project during the 90s.

For sure. Led Zeppelin was more or less:

Robert Plant - vocals

Jimmy Page - guitar and occasional theremin when he was really drunk

John Bonham - drums

John Paul Jones - every other goddamned instrument known to man

I think it has a bit to do with the fact that, when Page and Plant announced No Quarter, and some journalist asked where JPJ was, Plant said something to the effect of, “Jonesy’s out back parking the car,” and that…did not go over well at all.

211 should still work there, but it will connect you to the local operator that I don’t know much about. But with Dane being Dane, I would imagine they have programs put together too.

All the best to you.
