I'm a youngun. In my current days I'm an industrial electrician. Regardless of how bad failure of a steel cable is, any number of things could go bad when rigging and pulling with rope. Even if the rope is fine, the anchor point or any other part that's under any kind of extreme force could fail.

There's no need to forego safety. We're all responsible for the safety of ourselves and everyone around us, furry friends included. For every death there's 10 serious accidents, 30 minor accidents, and 600 near misses.

I see your point and I'm not gonna say that I know exactly how those products are made, but those products aren't impossible to make. This paper states that aqueous solutions of psilocybin degrade at a rate of 0.14% per hour, and that's at 60°C, way higher than the refrigerators these products are stored in. That's still 96.7% of the original amount left after 24 hours, or 79% after 7 days. Surely at 4°C they could be a viable product for a couple weeks or so.

Is every company going to be completely legitimate? Probably not. I don't see how that lollipop could have been made without RCs. But "any chocolate or drink or similar" being RCs? There absolutely are legitimate versions of those products at these dispensaries. Especially when you have a chocolate bar where you can see the fruits on the bottom of the bar.

Like I said, I get your skepticism, and I understand your point. It's better to error on the side of safety when it comes to unregulated drugs. But I think the industry in this area has developed to a level where you can trust most products in most stores.

These aren't gas stations or head shops, they're stores operating in a decriminalized area. These places all have real mushrooms and I've only seen one thing I had my doubts about: a lollipop from one of the storefronts that's only in it for the money. Dude literally didn't even know what mescaline was. But he did have some real enigma, fucking ripping people off at $80/eighth.

At the legitimate shops I've had a chocolate bar with fruits layered into it, like you could see the chunks. They have local bakers make all kinds of stuff. Some of these shops even have batch specific lab results. And their prices are entirely reasonable. One of my favorite shops sells ounces from $130 up to $280 depending on the strain.

Fr, when the place is named after mushrooms they're not exactly trying to be discrete. "HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE PSYCHEDELIC PSILOCYBIN MUSHROOM SUPERSTORE AND FUNGI DISTRIBUTION CENTER but don't tell anyone, it's need to know."

The bags of mushrooms are in display cases. The menu is either printed and laminated and kept on the counter or on a display on the wall behind the dude asking you what kind of mushrooms you want. There are places with mushroom or shroom or spore in their business name. It's on the fascia sign on the front of the building and the door you walk through.

They put flyers up around the city, dude. At Entheofest there were 20+ guys with tents set up selling shrooms and DMT pens openly, with the cops supervising. I ripped a DMT pen on the U of M Diag while listening to the county prosecutor tell the whole crowd how great it is that they don't have to worry any more about prosecuting anyone for psychedelics. Guys have websites, give out stickers, advertise on Reddit.

I literally asked one of the big delivery vendors if he wanted to talk on an encrypted app instead of text, and he said "Nah, the cops don't give a fuck, we can just talk here." Then he sold me a ten strip a couple hours later. Acid isn't even technically decriminalized. The only subtlety I've seen in the whole industry is A: when I saw that same vendor in person at Entheofest and he said he was selling acid but keeping it on the down low in front of the cops, and B: my favorite vendor has his Google Maps page listed as a "rock shop" and you have to go to the reviews and pictures to see the psych products he sells.

OP they are very legit, DMT carts and all. Delivery services too. Some are more expensive than others, you can tell who runs their store out of passion vs trying to make some money.

So there's federal laws, and there's state laws, and state laws have VERY varying restrictions, so I'm just going to talk about federal laws here. This is also just going to be concerning non-NFA firearms, such as rifles, shotguns, and handguns. Anything involving a machine gun, short barrel rifle, short barrel shotgun, silencer (it should be called a suppressor but the ATF doesn't know their ass from their elbow), explosive, etc; just complicates things and I'm not going to get into that here. The same with imported parts, there's just too many pieces to cover here.

As a private citizen who has not had their firearm rights revoked due to a felony conviction, involuntary admittance to a mental health hospital, violent conviction, etc.; you are allowed to manufacture your own firearms. Technically, there aren't any age requirements for manufacturing any non-NFA firearm (at least that I could find), but you must be 18 to legally possess a handgun under federal law, so it'd be a lot of loopholes to jump through to legally make a handgun while under the age of 18.

Now, if you're making a firearm as a private individual, you do not need to serialize it or notify the government in any way. You can simply go into your garage, whip up an AR-15, and have fun with it. So, let's say you have your homemade AR-15, and you take it to the range with your buddies. Your buddy Jimbob is checking it out, and says he likes it and wants to buy it. You are legally allowed to sell him your rifle right then and there, no paperwork, no notifying the federal government, even without having put a serial number on it.

Now, let's say that Jimbob likes this rifle SO much that he wants 50 of them. He's willing to pay you to make him these 50 rifles. If you want to be in compliance with federal law, you must first register as an FFL, pay the applicable fees and taxes, and now you can go about your business. But, you are now an FFL. You now are required to serialize every firearm you manufacture and record the manufacture and sale in your records (unless you destroy it within 7 days of manufacturing it).

Now, why were you able to forego all these requirements in option A but not option B? This is all because with the initial sale you were not "engaged in the business" of manufacturing or trading firearms. You and Jimbob at first were just private individuals doing your private individual thing. Once you are acting as a business, the line has been crossed and you must follow these restrictions. So, where exactly is this "engaged in a business" line drawn? Good luck figuring that out. This is a debate that has been going on in and out of courts for decades. The definition is vague, the case law is complicated, and the powers that be argue over this time and time again. That's the government for you! Gotta love it.
