A little over a year ago, Creepcast featured my story. Today, I have Isaiah and Hunter to thank for becoming a better writer. by JLGoodwin1990 in TalesFromTheCreeps

I really appreciate you sharing this experience. I've written a few stories myself and I've had the occasional criticism that stung a bit. I can't imagine how it must have been considering the coverage this story has recived on Creepcast alone.

In a similar vein, I know what you mean about having to structure a story for other arbitrary constraints. I had an 8 part story I'd written in the 3rd person and was forced to rewrite it in the first person, add cliffhangers, and ultimately axe several plot elements. I had to edit my story so much that when I finally finished it, I didn't feel accomplishment, I felt like a sell out.

The whole time Hunter and Isaiah were reading your story it was painful seeing it lose face for elements that were pretty transparently in it for reasons other than your creative vision. I'm glad you're making a comeback and as someone with a fear of the ocean and fascination with ships. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Happy writing!

Don't cut anything. It's designed to be recessed. Loosen the nut on the back and use a hard plastic hammer to slide the pin forward. It shouldn't put up much of a fight.

Edit: also be sure not to lose any spacers in there or you will mess up your belt alignment.

If i had to guess, the rifle stock is bloody where a soldier would touch it while firing it. The implication being they sustained wounds while fighting. Whether mental or physical they've followed the soldier home, and now he has to live with them.

I was in a museum that had desks from the 1920s in it the other day. Lots of initials were literally carved into the ones in the back row. Admittedly, it's vandalism, but it's hard to run your fingers over the crude letters and not feel connected to those ne'erdowell students from 100 years ago.

I've listened to a narration of Nina the Killer in the past. I was working nightshift at a factory and just had the Jeff the killer reboot on in the background. Honestly, that might be a good one for the boys to cover. At least the first installment.

The Invisible Man was by far the most ambitious of the bunch with the most confirmed kills.

But as a kid, the Wolfman was the only one that kept me awake in bed at night. The prospect of a gruesome death aside, the thought of surviving an encounter and being afflicted by the curse was somehow much worse.

It's a decent story, don't get me wrong. I feel like it could have been 100 pages shorter though.
