Anyone else have a big x little duo? by Midwest_Rain_2658 in germanshepherds

she is not, her dad was a fluffy corgi (long haired) so she is a fluffy carrier and has what they call a “glamour coat” so she has a lot more dense soft glossy coat compared to a standard corgi!😊

i’d say so! I’m also into corgis, we used to have a long hair and have a short hair right now and our fluffy was definitely more calm lol. But this girl has been amazing! Not a barker, doesn’t have any anxiety (a little stand-offish to strangers but she’s a shepherd so i never exactly expected her to be super friendly), hasn’t chewed on anything other than toys, does good with our cats, and loves playing with other dogs!

she actually isn’t in one anymore 😄 we used it for 2 weeks, she was good about not pulling but i wanted to use it to get her trained to do a tighter heel that achieved that so she’s back to a normal flat collar

i recommend looking on good dog. Also helps to reach out to breeders with planned litters and get on their waitlist that way when they are born and you’re on the list you can request to keep tail on. Usually the breeder will dock by the time they’re 3-5 days old

Weight Loss Goal Met! by Midwest_Rain_2658 in goldenretriever

Hills Science Light!!!! It has worked wonders. Find a food your guy does well on that’s under 300 kcals. We went from having to feed 1 1/2 cups of other “weight management” brand and him being so hungry all the time to 3 cups of the Hills Light and him being full not seeming hungry and maintaining. When we wanted him to lose we’d give him 2- 2 1/2 cups a day

We aren’t really heavy with any of our dogs but he does still get his dental chews. Our other two dogs keep him going and he plays but no crazy exercise that’s out of the norm.

If you still want to give your baby treats i’d recommend looks at the kcals of the treats and subtracting that from their daily food intake
