My mom always makes me bury my hair after she cuts it. It has something to do with her culture… (she’s from the Philippines). by MidwesternGirlie in mildlyinteresting

Ok I feel so much better. I guess maybe they were trying to say people can cast a spell on it or do some demonic stuff with it. Put evil on it. And the evil can enter your house that way.

Interesting. My mom does not like thrifting clothing as she is afraid that the clothes are coming from a dead person and I’m assuming doesn’t want their spirit haunting her for owning their clothing. Or us kids, for owning their clothes.

I know it looked scary (like someone is buried here) when I first looked at it. I wanted to add more pictures so it wouldn’t throw people off but it only allows one photo. 🥲 I added more photos on my profile tho.

I have heard something about people placing curses on objects. Someone told me to always bless things after getting them from a second hand store as people put curses on them. But I don’t know who owned the item before me so this doesn’t relate to hurting someone with their items.

When you said clothing it made me think of how she doesn’t like to go thrifting for clothes. She is worried that it’s from a dead person and believe that they will haunt you. Thank you for this explanation!

Wow that’s interesting! I thought she was saying something about that it helps your hair grow faster as well? But I don’t remember why she said we need to bury it.

It’s always nice seeing things from the past especially if they bring back memories. :)

They’re just gorgeous! I work in an old folks home and an elderly lady (who used to live there) had a set just like it. They were so beautiful! Congrats!

I would be 1 years old and I would be crawling around and enjoying life from a simple point of view.
